Rey's POV:
I didn't even say anything or think at the moment, just activated the engine.
Just like that, we are in a wormhole traveling back home. Finn is massaging his head with his palms, obviously speechless, and I am processing every information that Ben gave me, and boy am I shocked and confused.
My father, my biological father is alive? That is just, just strange. I never thought that I would find out about him, or my mother for that matter. And I don't even know him. I don't remember my own father. Everything is messed up.
And on top of everything he has my daughter and teacher, captive. He is a kidnapper. The person that caused me so much worries and stress is my parent. How? Why? When? I have so many questions traveling around my mind, searching for answers that are not in there. I slammed on my chair with my back, and closed my eyes for a second.
Soon I will be in the Base and all the details will be told to me. Leia knows about everything, I assume she knows the reason behind it, too. She must answer me everything, she must.
"Rey, calm down. You can't just eat yourself from inside." Finn stood up to take control over the driving. I placed myself on the copilot seat, knowing that I am too worried to think about piloting.
"Ten more minutes, and we will be there." He called.
"K" I answered shortly. It sucks to be between two feelings. The first one being: you can't wait to arrive and find out about all of that, and the other being: you are scared to find out the truth. But let's face it, it will happen and I can't run away.
Finn calmed the beeping buttons, and sat on the other seat. He signed and touched the arm sides of the chair.
"I still can't believe this was his ship, the one he traveled with so many years, and this...this was his seat. Han Solo was the best pilot around. And now everything belongs to us...but it doesn't feel that way...I believe he is somewhere near, looking at us from above, smirking and saying "Kids take good care of my ship.""
I turned to look at him, small tears in my eyes.
"Yes, you are right, this will always stay his and Chewbacca's Falcon. We are only his keepers, maintaining him in a good shape." I added, and Finn smiled, tiny tears forming in his eyes too.
"God, am I getting emotional this days." He rubbed his eyes with the tip of his hand.
"We all are. I just believe Han Solo is somewhere safe, trusting us with our decisions, saying that everything will turn out well. "
"Hmm, I hope so, He will keep his family safe." No one spoke after, the end of the flight got near.
Around ten people awaited us at the airport, helping us with our stuff. I glanced at the mass of people, my eyes working their way to find one person. I signed when I spotted him and started walking in his direction. He is looking straight at me, his eyes testing my reaction. It is an awkward situation, I don't know what to do. Normally I would run straight into his hands, smiling, longing for his kiss, but now it just doesn't feel that way, he feels...distant.
I stopped walking few feet in front of him, scanning his body for signs of some reaction. His warm chocolate eyes are fixed on mine, and I can read them, like an open book. I know what he is telling me right now, without needing to spill the words out. He craves forgiveness.
Forgiveness for this situation, for our relationship, for our daughter and family. Still he is not guilty, at all, but he wants to make sure that I am not angry. And he is right, I am not, not even a bit. I can't be angry at him, we are all in this together.
I walked to his side and opened my arms to hug him, once again, just like the old times. At first he was surprised, but then his warm hands wrapped perfectly around my body, and I felt his waves of loving warmth rush into me. I closed my eyes and smelled his natural scent, that reminds me of home. He is my home.
"You have no idea how much I have missed this, it feels like we haven't seen each other for an eternity, but now you are here, and I won't let you go again." He said, his breath slightly caressing my skin.
"I won't either, not ever." I commented, and placed a small kiss on his neck. "Now, you said you have something very important to discuss with me, it concerns our daughter and my...father."
"Yes, it does. But first you have to hear the story and then we will think about the future." I pulled away and clutched his hand gently.
"Then let's go, into the garden." He nodded and followed me, till we reached a nice white bench under an oak tree. It has a view of a little lake.
"Rey I know you don't remember your father, because you were too small when you started attending the Jedi academy. Since then everyone knew that you would be a great force user, and that's why you were sent there. The problem behind this is that there was a law that every person that is gifted with the force must train to use it. The Dark side was destroyed, for a few years, and there weren't many Jedi students. That law declared that every toddler will attended the academy, even if their parents don't accept. Most of the parents were never ever allowed to visit their children. Your father, is not anyone, he is a king, and Rey you are a princess. So I assume you know that, that fact made many misunderstandings. "
So guys here is the next chapter, as promised. I hope you like it.
Thank you for all the good wishes for my math exam, and I did it excellent. I wish you too luck with your tests. At least on the bright side, summer is near and we will have much more time to write and read.
Love,
