On my knees

Ben's POV

Someone please wake me up from this awful nightmare. I came with Rey to take our daughter back, and what I see now is her standing on that posh balcony next to that...that creature of a king. No, this is impossible...this might have been planned.

I trust Dorothylla with all my heart, and I know her astute brain, she is too smart to let this happen, she is too witty to let him force her in becoming a princess.

She was raised to be a Jedi her all life, and she is one, with all her heart and soul...she is not a traitor nor a gold digger.

Being in this enormous mass of people, it was hard to breath, suddenly I felt hot, like my temperature was raising to the maximum.

I peeked at Rey who was covered with sweat like me, but her face was red as a rose, she looked like she was going to faint.

"Rey!" I yelled while my heart skipped a beat, I ran towards her to catch her falling body in my hands. She closed her eyes and let her fragile structure fall on the dirty ground, but luckily it didn't end there. I caught her tightly, not leaving her sight.

The crew gathered in circle around us. They were all shocked, their faces mixed with different emotions, like their own bodies couldn't decide what to feel.

I felt my heart pump faster, as I see my wife collapsed. Anxiety took over all my senses.

"Rey, love, please wake up, come on, don't do this to me!" Warm tears formed in my eyes, treating to fall each second. Her body felt numb, and the redness from her skin started to disappear.
"Rey, come on love, Rey don't do this to me, please, please." I cried in anguish.

Soon I felt like the gathered people started to leave, until I glanced at them and saw the evil king approaching us. My daughter was behind him, tears streaming down her eyes, crying like never before, she was pleading to run towards me, but was held by a guard.

I looked down to my lover, whose body was still motionless. Her heart was still beating, but each beat was slower than the other.

"You monster, what did you do to my only child." The emperor's voice erupted in the whole garden. He was referring to me, and I looked in his way sharply, my face red and wet. Shivers run down my skin each time I hear that word.

"You are the one to speak, I ask you the same question." I said, but my voice was barely above whisper. He smirked, like this was some kind of game to him. "You are mad." I bend down to kiss Rey's soft head. She was slowly knocking on death's door and I had to do everything in my power to save her, whatever it takes.

"I beg you to save her, you may do whatever you want to me, but please take her to the medical wind." I knelt on my knees, my face towards the ground. I thought that I would never do this in my entire life, but Rey is an exception, she is my everything. I can't continue without her.

"Do I see the famous sinister Kylo Ren, kneeling on the ground, begging for mercy?" The king, smirked evilly. "Your grandfather would be so mad."

"Oh, no your highness, you won't be talking to my friend like that!" Finn stepped next to me. I was awed by his bravery and strong will.

The king smiled again and signed with his left hand to the guards. Finn was caught with a golden blade under his neck. No, this man was getting too far, and Rey is getting more fragile each second.

"You won't hurt my friends, nor Rey, nor my daughter. Do what you will with me, but please let them all live, and if you have just a little bit love left for your daughter, don't let her die in your rival's hands. " He didn't expect that, his face was in total shock. He walked few more steps towards us, until he stopped in his pace.

"Very well then, guards take my daughter to the medical wing, hurry. You will be responsible if something wrong goes with her. Take Dorothylla in her dormitory...ah...and yes, take the prisoners where they belong. I will decide about their sentence tomorrow. Hm, some of them may not get out of the court...alive."

"No, please take me to my mummy, I want to see her, please. Daddy, where are they taking you? No! Daddy, I love you!"

"Honey, I love you too. Everything will be all right sweetheart, just be safe, you and Rey, stay safe, be next to her, while I'm not there. Be with her...even if I don't...c" I didn't dare to look into her dark eyes, I knew she understood what I wanted to say, I knew that she was crushed, and I was too. My heart was broken in thousand pieces, just by breaking hers.

"No! No! Dad, no! " She was screaming with all her voice, each words like a dagger in my heart. We were separated soon enough, and I couldn't hear her painful screams, not anymore...
