Rey's POV
I opened my eyes in a blink of a second, after I heard her distressed calls. She stood there right next to me, her eyes weary and filled with tears, her face pale with dark violet circles under her nearly black iris. She looked like she hasn't slept in days, and it made me worry for my only child.
I was lying in a huge king size bed with crimson sheets, in a room that looked more like my living room back at home, than a bedroom.
Everything here is arranged for a true blood of the royal family.
I glanced around to see if there are guards standing inside, spying on us, but my assumption was soon corrected when I acknowledged that the room was safe to talk in.
"Dorothylla, I don't remember much, except that you were standing there on that royal balcony, waiting to be crowned with a title of a princess, and you were. Why did you do it, why?" I pleaded. She narrowed her eyes down at the silk bed covers, her face red as a coral flower.
She signed few times, shaking her small head right and left with such a high speed that I thought that she would faint, but suddenly she stopped, and glanced at me.
"Mom, it's not the way you think it is. I never wanted to have this cursed title, I only wanted to see you again, alive, because, only if you are breathing this cool air, we can have a chance to return, otherwise I'm stuck, here, forever." She sobbed, her tears falling on my right hand, making my body hurt even more. I'm always feeling pain that cannot be described with words when I see her cry, it seems that is what defines me as a mother.
"Hush, sweet child, I'm here, alive and I will help you escape this luxurious prison, I came to take you home, along with your father and my dear crew." Wait, now I see that I'm sleeping in a royal dormitory, that certainly means somebody took me inside after I lost conscience. I started trembling, my mind filled with fear of the sudden realization. It took me longer to process the surroundings because of the sickness.
"Dorothylla, what happened after I fainted, tell me!" I yelled, my eyes filled with horror. She started sobbing even more, and my heart began to hop uncontrollably.
"You had a heart attack mom...and dad...dad..." Her whimpering became louder and more constant, while my breathing became more rapid.
"What happened to Ben? What happened to my husband?...Wha?"I am sniveling just like her. My voice inaudible. No, it mustn't be, no!
"He...sacrificed himself to save your life...he is now in the dungeons...with the rest of the crew...including Luke." She soothed her shaking voice.
"We need to go now, like right now..." I tried to stand up, but my chest felt like it was on fire. I moaned by the unforeseen pain. My heart is still recovering from the attack.
"Mom, you will kill yourself, please stay in bed."
"No, I will get up, I feel like something bad is happening and I must trust the forces intuition."
"There are guards waiting just in front of the door." She called, her voice crowded with concern.
"I will paralyze them, telepathically. No one will suspect a thing, they act like monuments anyway."
"What if we are caught?"
"Then I will die, and you will stay a princess, for the thrones sake." I muttered and opened the door, in a split second, and froze the minds of the guards before they even got time to move.
"Come on Dorothylla, now." I stared walking down the massive golden halls, that once used to be my home. But, for me they feel foreign, always will. No matter how much I truly want to get accustomed with my pre jedi, pre scavenger life, it's not going down the right road.
I took my daughter's hand, and wandered down the lone halls. We were lucky that there were no people standing in our way.
"Do you have an idea where everyone is gathered?" I asked, my eyes scanning for an enemy. My daughter swallowed sadly, and that was never a good sign. "Where is everyone?"
"They are in the court room...today is a sentence day...father will be among the prisoners that will receive their judgement...by grandfather."
"What?! Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I hissed, my blood boiling.
"I told you that something bad is happening...well that is it." I dismissed my angered thought and left directly to the court area. I knew where it is, because of the force bond I share with her father. We are always attached to each other, that's what makes us unbreakable.
My legs ran by their own will, forgetting the sickness for just a moment, he is more important now, I don't know what I will do without him, he is my everything, I love him, dearly and passionately.
The garden was not far away and I reached it soon enough. I was standing on the top floor, looking at the mass of people standing down. In the middle of the place was no other than, Ben himself. He was down on his knees, his shirt soaked in warm blood, his eyes turned to the muddy ground.
"Ben Solo, based on your countless crimes that you did at your time as former Kylo Ren, you are accused as a traitor to this land and nation and you are being sentenced to DEATH!"
"NO!NO!" I screamed with all my voice, and turned everyone's attention to me. "Father please don't do this to my husband, if I mean anything to you, if mother meant anything to you, please. Don't leave my daughter without a parent, don't let her struggle as I did, please, I beg you."
His mien stayed the same, and I couldn't wonder more if his heart was made of ice or he still had a chance for redemption. This decision will answer the question...
Guys, the new chapter is up!
What do you think will happen next? Is the king that cruel? The next chapter holds the answer.
I won't update in two or three days, because I'm going on a vacation, but if I have wi-fi and the time, I will certainly update.
