You Guys Should Be Used To Me By Now

Scroll Number Two, Achieved!

After a while of laying down and resting, we had decided to move around and search for a fight. It took a while of discussing, but we knew that we have a better chance of finding people than food. Mistake was definitely off limits to eat, so we were stuck with fighting people for a scroll.

"Maybe we'll run into Choji and Ino." Cheerfully, I said to Ryuu as we marched around.

"Who were they again?" Curiously, Ryuu asked me and poked my back from behind.

"I think they tried to attack us in the beginning of the event." Honestly, I had said and suddenly stop to cause Ryuu to walk into me.

"Ow! My personality!" In reaction, Ryuu whined and began to rub his nose. I just snickered at the sight.

"Sorry, I couldn't resist." I said and chuckled some more.

"Fine, this is your punishment." Ryuu said, and I rolled my eyes sassily.

"If it's something sexy, you know I won't mind-OPH!" In shock, I yelled out as I felt a sudden weight on my back. Of course Ryuu wanted a piggy back ride, I should have seen it coming.

"Gotcha." He said and stuck his tongue out. To prove his point, he licked my face and I wrinkled my nose in reaction. "Lead us to the next scroll!"

"You know, teams don't just appear out of-" I stopped in mid sentence, and things were quite for a few seconds.

"Why did you go silent?" Curiously, Ryuu asked me with a raised eye brow.

"Usually they would have popped out and attacked us since that's usually how things seem to work a lot of times." I said, and frowned a bit. "Damn. This means we'll have to actually look for them."

"You will, remember, I'm on your back." Cockily, Ryuu said and poked my nose. Which I wrinkled right away.

"Damn." I muttered and continued my walk through the sand. Thankfully, the sun was merciful that day so it was a bit less hotter than the few previous days. It then occurred to me in my mind that we had no idea what day it was and how much longer we had to return to the center.

"It would probably be easiest to get a scroll if we head to the center since so many other teams will begin to camp out and wait for others. Ryuu and I will have to hide our scrolls so that way people will think we have nothing and not go after us for a reason." I thought to myself and continued to walk over the sand.

I had walked for a while with Ryuu on my back as I explained the plan. Eventually, I had knocked him down and he had to walk for himself. He had grumpily muttered a few words, but walked on his own. We drank a bit of water to keep us hydrated and the water had truly made us happy. It was amazing how much more wonderful water could taste when you were limited on it.

After a while of walking, a building had come into view. Both of us grinned at our accomplishment of being able to see it. Step one of our plan was complete. Up next for us was to get to get to step two, and then accomplish that one.

We kept a steady pace and kept our guard up just in case anybody was foolish enough to want to attack us. The idea of attacking us and seeing us as a threat was not the best idea, but we kept our guard up anyways. Once we were a good enough distance close to the tower, but had some distance between us, Ryuu and I sat down to wait.

"So do we just wait here for them to come?" Curiously, Ryuu asked me as he looked around.

"That was what I was thinking. Neither of us know how to track people." I pointed out and grabbed some sand. Slowly, I let it fall between my fingers and back onto the ground.
