"I can't believe you're making us wait." Grumpily, Ryuu muttered as we looked at our water in a class jar, boiling above a fire.

After a while of searching, we had finally come across water. Ryuu wanted to drink it right away, but I knew it would be best for us to boil it. That way anything harmful would be destroyed or at least pointed out to us. I used an Earth jutsu and did my best to hold some sand in the form of a jar, then Ryuu used a fire jutsu to turn the sand into glass. Our first instinct was to burn a scroll for the fire, but we decided to just let the fire burn as long as possible while we waited for the water to boil.

"Excuse me for being a smart sexy person, and knowing that we should boil it." Sassily, I replied back and snapped my fingers at Ryuu.

"Girl, I know that you did not just snap at me." Quickly, Ryuu snapped at me and snapped his fingers also.

"You want a snap off?!" Fiercely, I exclaimed and stood up.

"Bring it!" Ryuu yelled at me, and our snapping began. We were throwing snaps all over the place and in each other's faces. I was surprised neither of us got hurt from the snapping. After a long fierce battle, we both stopped and laid onto the sand to rest.

"I think the water is ready." I said once I began to hear the boiling. Carefully, I moved the jar away from the fire and onto some sand. Eagerly, Ryuu almost lunged towards it but I stopped him. "Baka. You need to let it cool."

"That's too long though!" Childishly, Ryuu whined and rolled around on the sand. "Maybe I'll just never drink it!"

"Okay, more for me then." Gleefully, I said to myself and grinned.

"Never mind! I want my part!" Ryuu said, and I wrinkled my face.

"Fine, I guess you can have your part." I said and eyed the water. It was close to being ready to drink, just needed a little bit longer. The sun most likely did not help with the cooling process. After a while of waiting, the water was cool enough to drink.

Even though the water was lukewarm, I chugged half of it down in a heart beat. When I handed the rest to Ryuu. He did the exact same thing I did with the water. It was great to know that neither of us were classy the type. We could just fit together like that.

"I would have never thought that water would have tasted so delicious before." Ryuu said, and I nodded my head in agreement. Both of us were glad to have water after such a long while. "We should fill some up in your water thing."

"Great idea." I said and scooped up some more water in the jar, then I set it on the fire again. "Time to play the waiting game then."

"We should talk about our past, so we can bond and become close." Seriously, Ryuu said and my eyes became chibi.

"Could we even have an awkward experience together that would bind us for life?" Hopefully, I asked and Ryuu grinned.

"Of course!" He replied and snapped his finger. "You go first."

"Well, what do you want to know?" I asked as I laid down on the sound and let Mistake roam around on my arm.

"What your parents were like, and what your childhood was like." Ryuu said as he laid down beside me. I was silent for a moment before I responded.

"Well, I was adopted at a young age to people who didn't really care for me. Don't worry, I gave them a pretty rough time by being difficult. Then after a while, I ran away and came across the Leaf Village. That place became my home, and I regret nothing." I said, and smiled at the end of it.

"What about your teammates? I want to know what really happened to them." Ryuu asked with a raised eye brow. Wearily, I sighed and began to tell the tale.
