Stephen Curry’s anger was continuously building up as he was called for foul after foul in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. He officially blew up at the end of the fourth quarter, and when he threw his mouth guard in frustration, it hit a fan sitting in the front row. Watch it all go down and see his apology here!
The 27-year-old was called for his sixth foul with just over four minutes left in the fourth quarter of Game 6, and he clearly didn’t agree with the call. But after launching his mouthpiece toward the crowd, he took a moment to shake hands with the man he accidentally hit, quickly shaking his hand, amid his anger.
“I’ve thrown my mouthpiece before,” he said in a
post-game press conference . “I usually aim at the scorer’s table. I was off aim. Definitely didn’t mean to throw it at a fan. That was obviously not where I was trying to take my frustration out .”
Unfortunately, the move got Steph ejected from the game, and the Warriors wound up losing to the Cavaliers 115-101, meaning the teams will have to face off in a Game 7 for the championship.
