I moved here in the first grade. The memories of that time are gone from my mind, but the only thing I know was that I was kicked out of my friendship circle. As a result I had been by myself most days and I ended up sitting beside a grand tree outside every day at recess.

When other kids tried to hurt it by carving something or breaking the branches I would stop them. That left me with no one to talk to since I "took away the fun". Even so, I continued to protect it; everyday.

At one point I started to decorate the tree with little stones and twigs. I would make tiny furniture and put it in between the branches. I don't remember why anymore but I remember that I loved it.

One day, even though it was cloudy, we still went outside and I would go up the hill as I would any other day...but this time it was different. There was a light pink crystal where I would usually sit. I picked it up and saw that it had tiny sparkling flakes inside. I thought it was pretty so I put it in my pocket.

I didn't know that that simple thing would change the direction of my life. I raised my hand to scratch my head then a breeze came and blew in my face. I didn't think anything of it but when I put my hand down, it stopped. I thought it was coincidence at first but when I tried it again and again it was obvious it was real. The source of this mysterious phenomenon was clear, but when reached my hand into my pocket the crystal had vanished.

The next day I went back up and the breeze made the branches of the tree sway. It was like it welcomed me - I believed it did.

With a child's mind I look back and wonder what would have happened if I never did anything, but I tried new moves with my hands everyday, and the wind would always change direction or get stronger. Eventually got the hang of it. Even though it wasn't very strong I thought it was amazing.

A year later I had made a friend and decided to show her the tree. She thought I was lying but when I showed her my power she believed.

"Woah this is a big tree!" She said.

"Yeah I told you I had magic! The tree even told me that I am a fairy!" I exclaimed.

"A fairy? Are you sure?"

"..I think. I can teach you if you want."

"Uhh sure. Yeah I wanna have awesome powers. But please don't call me a fairy. Just say power when we are talking about it okay." She was the type of girl who wasn't girly. She was very country in fact.

"Okay. Don't tell anyone else because Tree told me that I could choose someone to train when he feels like it needs to be done."

"I promise."

I trained her. She had the power of clouds. She could move them. Make it rain when she sad. And sometimes have a little lightning when she is mad.

Years passed and we moved to a different school. Middle school.

The first day there I felt a connection with a small tree about ten feet tall. When I touched it I knew it was our tree.

So at recess we still protected the tree and the others too. Especially the one beside the tiny creek.

I had made another friend. The tree said it was time to train another. So I tried to tell her I was a fairy. She didn't believe me but still decided to "train".

During that time she grew closer with my first friend. The second year of middle school they had all their classes together and I didn't have any with them. It felt strange to be alone again.

She would be able to communicate with animals. But because she didn't believe it didn't work.

That's when my other friend said she doesn't believe anymore. I was the one who absorbed their powers when they gave them up.

I learned to do more than wind now.

I could see the future sometimes when I looked in the creek water. I could have small animals trust me. I could balance myself on one foot for as long as I wanted. I learned more.

This is when I learned of the spirits names from tree.

Wendy is the wind spirit.

Claud is the cloud spirit.

Anny is the nature spirit.

Barak is lightning and storm sprit.

They can communicate with me.

Now I'm in high school. 4 years of training by myself. I was closer to Tree but I couldn't be close enough to talk to him. And I was inside most of the day.

9th grade.

One day I was outside so I tried to communicate with Tree. He said it was time to train four others. That's all he said.

How is anyone gonna believe I have magic? And that they have to gain magic?

When I'm in 9th grade.
