I'm the kind of girl who keeps her own secrets. I'm in high school and I still believe fairies....because I believe I am one. I've never had REAL magic but I can control wind spirit, and speak to her. Others believed along with me...but they always...
'AGH!!! NOOO!!!!' The wind blasted through the air bringing dozens of leaves. The leaves made a pile at the bottom and caught what was falling.
I woke up from my dream. My heart was beating in my ears and I could barely breath. I look outside the purple curtains to see the sky was also purple with a wash of pink. Clouds quickly passing by.
I get up from my bed and grab my phone that was charging.

'I never had naps before. When did I fall asleep?'
I looked around and see papers all over my zebra sheets. 'Oh...,' I yawned. 'I..must have been studying...wait- I never study! What parallel universe did I come to?!' I stood up and then remembered.
My mom made me "study" for semester test, but I pretended by just placing my papers on my bed. I must have fallen asleep because my phone was dead.
I walked out of my room to see the nothing but darkness. I flipped the switch near the wall of my room to turn on the kitchen lights, then make my way towards the living room. I then flip another switch to turn the Christmas tree lights on.
My tree wasn't exactly...well...pretty organized. For example; the bottom lights were different colors and stayed on all the time, the middle lights somehow randomly changed to only green and blue and the top lights are different colors but blink rapidly.
All together the tree looked chaotic. Although my touches made it look somewhat normal.

I went back to my room and got on my phone to study at least the vocabulary for my finals.
'100%'
I got startled when I suddenly got a call from my mom. I answered.
"Candace. Unplug every single thing that you can find and don't use power! Stay away from metal, and only use your phone for emergencies as soon as I hang up." Her voice sounded scared.
"Why?! What's going on!"
"Fairies are real.."
I froze.
"On the news. There's a fairy and she's causing an electrical storm in the central part of Arkansas. Especially near here. Please be safe! I got to go, my phone is low battery! I love you.." she hung up and I quickly turned off all the lights and started un-plunging things.
I started with the TV's then Christmas lights, electric clocks, chargers anything that was plugged in.
'Wendy! What do I do?!' I got no response. "Ugh! Gotta think!" I spotted my bag and quickly searched for my crystal. I found it at the bottom and put it in my fist. 'Wendy? Help me please! What can I do?'
I heard a loud strike. I counted the seconds in between the next one and calculated it was only 8 miles away.
I opened the door and let my dog inside. The wind blew the door shut. I suddenly remembered what Wendy said.
'Whenever he is out of control I lose control too. That's why you couldn't do anything earlier.'
I focused and closed my eyes. "Come on..you can do it! Just become a fairy! Get your wings!" With that last word I felt my hands burn again and I opened my eyes to see the pink light fading.
I went to the bathroom and finally see my wings. They were mesmerizing. Iridescent blues. I looked at myself and didn't even recognize anything about me.
Another strike shook the entire house. I finally decided to go outside. I closed the door behind me making sure it wasn't locked.
The sky was dark and it looked like it was night. The cold icy wind blew pink hair in my face.
The whole place lit up for a few seconds as a lightning strike circled the area. Bright as a summer day suddenly went back to darkness....
Except for one spot.
In the sky her white wings glowed. So did her hands with blue electricity. Her bright yellow eyes surveyed the area.
Another strike went through the sky and she followed its direction slowly and shaking. She's probably still not used to flying.
