Candace's POV

I sat up quickly with my head in the same pain. I looked around to see myself in my room in my bed.

'Really?! Another test?! These are gonna kill me in my sleep one day.' My alarm went off and I swiped the screen to turn it off.

I got up and got ready for school.

'First day of P.E. yes!! I've been waiting so long for this!'

Mazin's POV

5:00 am is the time I usually wake up to go to school. Since I live more than an hour away from school I have to wake up in freezing darkness.

Well I live in the cold all year. My dad likes it to be cold.

I go outside to check on my horses. My two labs greet me by almost knocking me over.

"Girls! It's just me calm down." I laughed. I ran to the small creek that flowed through the land. On the other side was where my horses stayed.

A neigh came from the pasture. I knew it was my pony. He came over to the fence and I stepped carefully over the creek. After a few minutes of petting him I headed back to get ready for school.

"Mom can I pick my outfit for once? I'm pretty sure I'm old enough." I yelled as I walked in the house. I took off my rain boots and set them in the entrance way.

My mom was in the kitchen making some coffee. "Hmm it better be nice."

I walked into school wearing jeans, leather boots and a flowing flower shirt. My friends greeted me as I walked into the cafeteria.

"Hey Maye! You look...different. What did you change?" The group of pampered girls waited for me to answer as I set my bag down.

"Um nothing." I responded. I flipped my light brown hair out of my face.

"Wait." A voice came from behind the group. The girls moved out of the way to reveal Ally. "You aren't wearing makeup."

They all looked at me and agreed.

"I just got tired of wearing it." I told them.

"Hmp. All of us wear makeup. Why aren't you wearing any." Ally asked.

"I don't think I have to wear makeup to be friends with you girls."

Ally looked to the doorway and grinned. "Look over there. Girls who don't wear makeup aren't noticed. Just like her." I looked back to see my childhood friend walking to her seat.

"She isn't noticed because she doesn't talk not because she doesn't wear makeup." I said.

"Girls! Enough of this." Cherry spoke. She has curly gold hair and medium blue eyes. She's the most popular girl and gets the second best grades out of all of us. I get the best grades. "Look. I agree with Maye. You don't need to wear makeup. We just choose to wear it."

I nodded and the bell rang.

Second period. I have P.E. this semester. I walked to the gym and in the hallway I saw my friends walking there too.

"Maye hurry!" Cherry yelled. I speed up and caught up with them. I glanced in front of us to see a girl with short blonde hair talking to my old friend.

"I'm so glad we all have P.E. together!" Cherry smiled brightly as we entered the gym along with the people in front of us.

A coach directed us to go to the far side of the gym if we we're ninth graders. I passed by the other girls and waved.

She looked at me and just nodded.

I wonder if she'll ever forgive me.
