Another "Normal" Day

Survive.

I sit up in my bed and try get out. I felt my aunt's legs blocking my way out. Since my bed is against the wall and I sleep there, the only way for me to get out is by going to the front of the bed, but today I had to go over.

I open the door and go to wake up my brother by pulling off the sheets, then turn on the closet light. "Huh..?" I rub my eyes and look closer to my side of the closet.

New clothes where there. "Where...are my clothes?" I asked myself. "No No No No." I quickly looked through all of them. I didn't recognize any of them. They were all plain with no sequins, sparkles, or anything shiny.

"What are you talking about?" My brother yawed.

"My clothes?! Where are they?! Did mom get rid of them?!" I was about ready to die.

"Uh. There all right there like they've always been." He pointed.

"These aren't my clothes. Where are all the sparkles?!" I looked through them once again. They all looked like clothes a normal girl would wear.

"What the heck are you talking about. Hurry up and pick an outfit so I can too." He went off to the bathroom.

'W-Where....n-no...mom must have gotten rid of my clothes....she...she's always wanted me to grow up and be normal....'

I looked through to see fancy shirts. There was one light grey shirt that was kinda shimmery so I picked it along with some dark jeans.

'Where's my jacket?!' I sighed knowing it was probably gone. I found another plain black jacket and plain black boots that almost reached my knees.

"You done yet?" My brother said behind the bathroom door.

"Yeah and get get out already so I can change."

I walk out of my house to feel a nice breeze. "If it weren't for the clothes I'd think it was gonna be the best day ever.

I could feel it in the atmosphere. It was refreshing and calm. They clouds were purple and pink and the sky was too. Past the tree line I could see an orange hue becoming lighter.

The drive home felt different. I noticed it was because there was no music playing. It felt kind of awkward.

It all ended when I got out of the car. I said goodbye to my dad and walked inside the school towards the cafeteria. Once I was in there I sat in my spot and got on my phone.

"Candace!" I turned my head to see a few girls. I gave a confused look as they waved and neared me. "What are you doing over here by the wall?"

"Uh..I sit here." I recognized Cherry.

She said, "Oh so this is where we sit now?" The girls sat down around me. I felt really uncomfortable.

"What do you guys want from me?" I said plainly while looking at my phone.

"What do you mean?" Asked Cherry. "We don't want anything."

"Well then why are you sitting with me?" I asked them and they all bursted out laughing.

One girl spoke, "We've sat with you everyday since first grade silly!Your the most popular girl at school."

"We all know that's a huge lie. You guys know what happened! What you did to me!"

They all nodded no. A few more girls appeared. "Morning!"

"Morning! Don't you all agree that Candace's makeup looks good today?" Cherry said.

"WHAT?!" I got my phone and looked at my face. I wore natural makeup. "OK NOW I KNOW IM HAVING A NIGHTMARE!!" I left to go to the bathroom but they all followed me.

I turned around. "Why are you all following me!?" I asked.

A girl said, "Your the leader this year. Oh right girls she must be meeting him early today come on let's go chat at our new seats."

"Meeting who?!" I asked after they left. I walked to the nearest bathroom and looked into the mirror.

'No! No! Why am I wearing makeup?! I never put any on, and I never did!!'

I walked out frustrated and confused. 'First the clothes, the group of populars and now this!!! What else will happen today?!'

A hand grabbed mine and I stopped walking and turned to see Blade. "Hey. I called your name like five times you okay?"

"No I'm not okay! So many things have gone wrong his morning and it's only been two hours! My clothes were replaced, my seat was taken over, and there is makeup is on my face!!"

Blade started laughing hard. I looked at him with a serious face. "Okay either you didn't get enough sleep last night or your not Candace."

I looked down to see he was still holding my hand. I pulled it away in disgust and walked away leaving him behind calling for me, while I didn't say a word.

"I need some fresh air." I pushed the glass doors open to the side of the school. I've only gone out through here once. The sky was a grey blue. No breeze greeted me.

I looked around until my heart stopped.

I had no breath.

My soul felt like it sank.

I starred in disbelief.

"No..."

There was no tree.

The tree was gone....

"Where...."

I ran to the edge of the fence. It bordered the playground full of kids playing. I looked at where the tree would be but not a sign of it was there. Not even like they pulled it out of the ground.

'WENDY?! WHAT HAPPENED?!'

I waited in silence, but the kids laughed and screamed in the distance. There was still no breeze.

"No! No! NO!" I held back the tears. I motioned my hands trying to make a breeze but nothing came. I took off my bag and looked in the top pocket.

There was no crystal.
