I'm the kind of girl who keeps her own secrets. I'm in high school and I still believe fairies....because I believe I am one. I've never had REAL magic but I can control wind spirit, and speak to her. Others believed along with me...but they always...
"What's that?" Someone said interrupting my thoughts. I turned around and saw Hayley as she sat down.
"Nothing!" I quickly put the small objects in my pocket.
"Okay?" She pulled out her black hardback sketch book. She turned the papers showing her unique drawings on the paper that seemed new but at the same time old. She finally stopped when she arrived at drawing of butterfly wings.
"Wow...that's really good." I examined the colors. Blue wings that seemed too familiar. I then quickly realized that it was the backside of my fairy form. Light pink hair in the wind, and hands going up to protect.
"Um..who is that...?" I lied about not knowing. It's a good thing I'm good at keeping secrets...too good.
"Can I trust you?" I nodded in response as she came closer to tell me what I already knew.
"It's a fairy...I may seem crazy after this...but remember the homecoming parade? That's when things were crazy with lightning! The reason that happened was because a fairy came here. But she was evil! She tried to blast me but then this one came."
She pointed to her drawing. "I've been having these strange dreams ever since."
The 7:30 bell rang and signaling Hayley to get to her locker and her class early. "Well see you later!" She got up and left.
'Strange dreams? I'll have to ask her about it later..' I thought.

"Okay! Today! We're learning about conjugating verbs!" My Spanish teacher exclaimed.
"What's that?" A student asked.
"Exactly!" She continued and pulled out a Spanish I textbook out.
This is my last class of the day. This day is almost over. I passed the worksheet down the row and when I turned over I hear, "Candace." It was her voice.
I pretended not to hear. I don't want to get into any trouble. Especially with Ally.
After class I got my phone from the front desk and walked out the door after everyone else. I checked my phone in the hall and instantly got a message. It was a message sent from Instagram. I didn't know the user.
'Meet me outside the doors.'
I walked my regular route and walked outside through the glass doors. I saw Ally there waiting for me.
I texted my mom. 'I gotta do something.'
I walked to Ally. She stayed there leaning on the wall. She pulled out her phone and turned to me.
"Um..hi...how did you get my Instagram?" I asked sounding innocent. I wasn't taking any chances with her.
"Hi!" She faked a smile. "I just searched your name hehe. We should talk." Her black hair flowed down her shoulders. I looked her in the eye. They were still dark blue.
"I heard that you know how to get information." She waved her phone.
"Where'd you hear that from?" I questioned.
"I have my ways...anyways think you can find out something on this person? She pulled a picture out. I read the username and memorized it.
"Ok I'll see what I can do. I gotta go bye." I walked back to my regular route expecting to not hear more from her, but she yelled to me.
"Happy Birthday!" She laughed, but it wasn't cheerful.

As soon as I got home I waited for my mom and brother to leave. Mom has to go to work and my brother has karate so that means I'll be home alone until my aunt gets home. That gives me until 5:00. I've got two hours to do some research.
I got on my aunts computer and logged into my account. I then went to the Instagram website and searched the username. 'Survivor.H' strange name but still I searched it.
I clicked on the profile. 'This account is private.'
"Time to use my skills." I brought my hand to between my eyes and felt an energy being absorbed. I directed it outwards to the computer and the profile opened up.
I felt dizzy but that's the usual side effects when I use this power for my technology...or when I want better connection.
I looked through the profile. I didn't see any selfies as an normal person would, mainly just pictures of scenery. All too familiar.
I looked at the latest post. A picture of a sunset on a cloudy day...or could it be a fire? It was bright, illuminating the sky in pinks and oranges while the trees were pitch black. This would be a perfect scene to paint.

I read the caption.
'I'll be going back to my hometown as soon as the next semester starts. Hopefully I'll remember everything and everyone.'
I clicked on the next post.
'I just visited some old family members. I'm still not sure who they are.'
The next
'I had a dream last night...but it was really crazy. Think I'm girly go ahead, but I had a dream about a fairy.'
My heart stopped. The picture was a butterfly in the blue sky.

"What...who is this person?" I said aloud to myself. I scrolled down to the very bottom of this stranger's account until I got to the first one. A picture of a hospital bed.
'Hello. My name is Hayden Alerio. I'm supposed to write my weekly experiences on this account because I lost my memory. I'm supposed to make new memories or at least try to remember my old ones.
They say I've been in a coma for a few years so I had to be homeschooled. I don't remember much before I was here. All I remember is falling and a bright pink light. If anyone out there knows who I am...
