Wings

"MUHAHAHAHAHAH!!!" Her laugh echoed throughout the area. A lightning struck behind her again and again. I hid behind a few large boxes, holding my crystal.

She flew slowly and but not gracefully, over the school. 'She still must not be used to it...what if it's her first time in her wings?! She's already ahead of me...' I thought.

"Barak! Get the wind spirit here quick! Before her guider comes." She said to no one. I'm sure it's her spirit power.

"CANDACE?! WHERE DID YOU GO?!" Suddenly was heard. 'Hayley...What are you doing!' I thought. I quickly looked past my wall of boxes and saw her looking around. I slapped my forehead. 'Ugh why did she have to look for me?!'

As I was about to go get her the fairy came, flew above her and then landed making Hayley terrified.

"Hmm...your that strange girl who won't give up on that anti-social girl?" She circled her.

"I'm just trying to be nice! She did help me after all." She said while her voice was shaking.

"So what your saying is that you just want to become her friend? While you can see that she wants nothing to do with you or anyone!"

"I want to become her friend. She seems like she's fine on her own true...but I know that deep down she wants to have others around her. It's my nature to help people like that...because I was like that at my old school." She looked to the ground. I continued listening.

"Well how long has it been since you've met?" Asked the fairy.

"Almost 3 months..."

"And you haven't become her friend yet?" She smirked. Hayley stayed quiet. "Let's become partners and I'll help you earn powers like me. Then we'll show everyone that we can do whatever we want."

My heart stopped for a second. A pain came to my hands and chest. I looked at Hayley. She smirked and looked to the fairy.

'Who could resist power.' I thought, thinking that she would surely accept her offer.

"I wouldn't join you. I will keep trying to get through to her." Hayley finally spoke.

The fairy growled and flew high up quickly. Lightning started up again and the wind started blowing hard.

"You'll join me or else!" She yelled. Hayley started running towards the front of the school. I looked to the fairy as her hands electrified bright yellow. She threw the light towards Hayley and the pain I had before became stronger. Until I thought I had died.

"AGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" I couldn't see anything but white. I heard an explosion as if it were coming from me. Then I was suddenly in front of that light she threw.

My hands burned and I tried to block the light but instead came a light pink light from my own hands. It flew towards hers then crashed into it making a loud sound.

"WHAT?!!" She quickly flew away with high speeds. Lightning right behind her.

"W-Who are you?!" I looked behind me to see Hayley safe but very pale. She must be very confused.

"Um..? What do you mean?" I asked confused myself. How could she not recognize me?

She looked behind me and then I looked there where she was looking. I saw nothing. "What are you looking at?"

She pointed shyly behind me again, and once again I saw nothing. I shrugged my shoulders and gave her a confused look.

"Y-Your wings..." she pointed again.

"Wings...? Wings?! On me?!" She nodded in response. I looked behind me again and tried to see them. All I could see was a thin shimmering thing.

'Wait. If I have wings...then...I've finally gotten my full powers?! I now have I'm what I've been working for the last 9 years?!'

I'm finally a fairy.
