Mazin's POV
I walked inside my house after spending time with my horses and dogs. I found a strange cat in the barn but I didn't choose to approach it, I choose to leave it some of the dogs food.
"Mom? Dad?" I yelled as I opened the back door. I slipped off my shoes and closed he door. I saw a note on the fridge.
'Were going to see the Orbona's again. We had to leave fast and we know you'll be okay. Lock all the doors and stay in our room. There's some baked potatoes for dinner in stove. We'll be back in around an hour.'
"Hmm...they won't know if I spent more time outside anyways." I checked to see if the potatoes were warm. They were fresh and probably too hot so I got a plate and grabbed one so it could cool.
I placed the plate on the table and got the toppings out of the fridge.
"Okay everything's set for me when I come back in!" I reached for the back door and slipped on shoes. It was already sunset.
"The pastures too far to go back to." I looked around to see where I could go. "I guess the creek will do." I made my way towards the water nearby the house.
Living in the mountains had its perks sometimes, but it also had bad sides. For one I'm by myself. Two there's dangers. And three....No Signal! If I wanted to text my friends I would have to depend on the Wifi. But even that fails on some days.
I sighed and sat down in the dirt. "The girls would definitely not do anything like this." I smiled, imagining them when they found a speck of dirt on their outfits.
'Oh no!! Hurry someone get me a napkin! No wait! Blow it off!!'
"If I wasn't a part of their group I would've been my normal self..." I heard a voice in my head.
'You shouldn't change just to fit in. It isn't you..'
I sighed again. "I know...I shouldn't have betrayed you..I shouldn't have left you to be by yourself Candace."
I looked up to see all the colors of the sunset. Mainly orange and yellows with the cloud's shadows being purple. 'Beautiful..' I thought.
I looked to the reflection of the water. The sky looked broken and of course distorted. 'If only I had my phone to take a picture of the water, it would have made an amazing art piece.' I starred, trying to memorize as much as I could.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw something making its way down the creek. A small bag with a string wrapped around it made its way down.
A noise was coming from it. A faint sound but I heard it. I walked into the middle of the creek to grab the bag. As it can closer I heard what the noise was. I raced to grab it carefully then rushed inside my house.
My dogs came and sniffed the bag but I pushed them away and got inside the house. Once I did I looked for a pair of scissors and cut the bag and found a small, soaking wet, cold animal.
"Towel!" I ran to the restroom then ran back to take the animal out of the bag. I wrapped it in the towel carefully patting it dry. "What are you?" I asked.
'What am I saying it's not gonna answer.' I laughed in my head.
I unwrapped it to see a baby raccoon. "Oh my gosh.." I watched as it's tiny eyes looked up to me. "...you're so cute."

My parents got home. But never found a thing. I've hidden it in a box under my bed with some natural cereal. I looked it up to make sure it was safe to eat.
I heard it's cute little snores as I placed my head on the pillow. But I couldn't sleep. I kept hearing something...not the raccoon.
I opened my eyes to find myself surrounded by light purple flowers growing everywhere. The sky was filled with stars and in front of me was a large pond, with water that reflected everything. Mist above the water sparkled while I stood in shock. The noise I heard was the water moving.
"Mazin Alimar." I was spooked by a man's voice.
"Where am I..." I was still speechless. The beauty around me is like nothing I've ever seen before. It looked like paradise.
"That doesn't matter right now." I turned around and jumped back a bit when I saw him. He wore dark greyish blue attire with silver armor padding on his arms chest and legs. On his back he had a long dark grey cape that had patches of light grey. He had brown-blonde hair that waved to he side.
"Long time no speak." He said. Confused I asked what he was talking about. He responded with, "you don't remember me because you quit and gave up your powers." I suddenly realized what he was saying.
"Wait...I know who you are now...your my spirit. Element. Person. Or something I don't know! It's been years and I'm probably just dreaming."
"In a way you are. Anyways I know what you've been thinking lately. You should speak to her."
"...I don't know what you're talking about!" I stomped the ground.
"Yes you do. Look just to remind you, my name is Claud. You used to be connected to me and I gave you the ability to control the clouds. But I can't do that now.."
"Why not?" I asked, I waited for him to speak but another voice spoke behind me.
"Because the clouds can be taken over when the storm power is active." I jumped again and almost tripped.
"Agh! What?! Why do you guys do that?!" I looked to see a woman with dark skin tone. She had a blue dress that looked like waves with sea foam on the edges. Her hair was strait and light brown.
"This is Kindra, she's one of the few "element spirits" that Candance hasn't connected with." Claud said.
I shook my head. "Ok can I wake up now?" I said to the sky. I looked back down to see them shaking their heads. Kindra walked up to me.
"Candace is a fairy. You were supposed to be one. But since you have no chosen power we need you to accept both of ours. Water and Clouds."
I turned my back. "Magic isn't real."
"Then how do you explain those two on the news?"
I stayed quiet. I didn't want to believe in it. It was all a game! Claud came closer to me.
"You must accept...both of the powers. If you only had mine, you wouldn't be able to do anything against the storm fairy. We need your help. That raccoon in the river was a test and you passed. You were chosen as a child but you gave it all up."
Kindra spoke next. "Being chosen is a big deal. It hasn't been done in centuries. It's your destiny and we need an answer."
The stars were reflected in the almost clear water and the flower petals fell onto it. I made my choice.
I turned around to face them. "... what do I need to do?"
They both looked at each other. "Speak to Candace. Then get the light aqua stone."
