It's open house today.

I get to see all the people I hate....great.

My moms white car pulled up to the school. Blue metal roofing and a sleek design. The entrance or "welcome center" had and entire wall made of glass. I get off the car and immediately put my head down.

I walk towards the entrance with my mom and once we're inside I see all my class mates and the other upperclassmen. I continue walking looking at the floor. We go to the office to get my schedule and locker number, then to the auditorium.

It had new black cotton chairs that were like the ones at the movie theaters. The ceiling was a dome shape and had a symmetrical design of wood.

We sat down in front of the stage.

After the introductions I decided to go to the restroom. I walked out and immediately regret my decision.

There was my old friend....the one who I first taught. My first friend at this school. The betrayer.

Her skin was still pale but her light brown hair had gotten darker and longer. I didn't see her glasses over the icy blue eyes.

She was laughing with her friends. She looked over to me but then went back to talking. I put my head down and walked down the hallway past them.

"Hey isn't that the weird girl who never talks?" A girl whispered. Even though I could clearly hear.

"Yeah she's so weird I wonder why she doesn't talk."

"Yeah....I wonder why." My old friend said.

I walked away ignoring them. I was used to these sort of things. It happens all the time. I'm a tough girl and I don't need anyone!

I walked back and didn't see them in the hallway anymore. But I did see a group of boys surrounding someone outside.

I opened the door quietly and watched.

"Well why don't you hang with us? I think you'll like it here at this school." The boy put his hand on someone's shoulder.

"Hey back off!! I can find my classes on my own!!" I heard a girl say.

"But come on! We are being gentlemen and you should accept our request for us to show you around." Another boy said.

That's when I knew I had to get involved. Boys just don't know when to quit and I always have to save girls from being embarrassed. I know the feeling of not wanting anyone to talk to anyone.

I stood in a perfect straight posture and walked towards them with balance. Like a proper girl. Once the boys saw me they glared. I just looked back with a plain face and I glared back. I knew these boys from PE last year. They knew how bad I could get.

"Sorry miss "B.E. We'll be leaving now." The boys walked inside and I looked at the girl. "Are you okay?" I said quietly.

She had straight, dirty blonde hair that went past her shoulders. Her light blue eyes looked relieved.

"Oh yeah, Thanks so much!" She smiled and I gave a small one back.

I walked back inside and looked to see her mom coming to the parking lot. I went back in the auditorium to my seat.

After the speech was over we were allowed to roam around the school to find our classes or just to look.

I decided to go outside and walk near the tree. After 4 years I see the tree where I spent my days. I sat down on my knees and closed my eyes. A breeze greets me and I feel better.

'Candance. It's so good so see you again. But it's time you train four other girls to be like you.'

'Wait what?! No I can't do that! To do that I'd have to make other friends!!'

'True but you've met three already. Just find the others and train them. Make them believe you....'

'How are these people gonna believe me?! No one believes me!!!'

No response came, meaning that what he said was all he was going to say.

"How is anyone supposed to believe me when I'm in 9th grade? They think magic is for little kids."

A drop of rain fell on my nose. Lightning strikes through the air close to the school I run inside and find my mom waiting for me at the welcome center. I was already feeling weak but I tried not to show it.

"You find all your classes?" My mom asked.

"Yeah let's go before this storm gets worse please." We started walking through a crowd of people but as I continued walking I looked up to see a girl and her mom walking past us. She looked familiar and strange. Strait long black hair and dark blue eyes. She wore a black dress as if she just came from a party.

It was as if we were in slow motion. I looked into her eyes as she past me and she looked right at mine. For a second her dark blue eyes glowed bright yellow. At the same time lightning struck. My head hurt and I looked back to the ground.

When we finally got outside we ran to the car. It was pouring and I got inside quickly.

'Who was that girl? And why did her eyes glow? Either my mind is playing tricks on me or...she's like me...meaning...'

'She has powers.'
