Candace POV

I woke up in darkness. I looked around to find myself laying in the forest. I sat up with my head hurting a whole lot. After a few seconds I stood up and started flying upwards. The sky was pitch black and it didn't help much that the power was out.

'I wonder how long I've been passed out.'

I look around and try to figure out where I am. All I see is trees for a bit but then I see the clearing. Remembering the plane I slowly declined and flew cautiously. I hovered around to see the plane was gone and police tape surrounded the area.

'Train tracks should be near here.'

I flew in the direction I thought they would be and found to be I was right. I landed and walked the rest of the way to my house. These tracks literally are right behind my house behind a small section of the forest. It wasn't a dense forest though so it should be easy to see my house.

The tracks are only used in summer so I wouldn't have to worry about being seen.

Once I saw the outline of my house I started walking in the forest. A few twigs caught my loose sleeve so I had to stop a few times to free it.

I found my fence and flew over it. I was finally safe. I closed my eyes and felt a wave of freshness surround me. When my eyes were open I was back to normal. I sighed and ran to my house. I opened the metal door then the wooden door to finally be released from all the stressful things.

The next morning I woke up to my mom calling me to tell me that my dad would be there in a bit with my brother and that she was coming too.

Later the power came on and they turned on the news to show me my own battle was caught on tape. The two news anchors argued.

'It seems like the one with pink hair is the good one. The one who's on our side.'

'Yes it seems that way but what if she just wanted to hit the tree first. It seems like whatever that tornado was made of is some sort of power source.'

Semester test week

As my mom drove up the small hill towards the high school I can see students walking on the sidewalks, most of them were carrying their breakfast in their hands.

Strangely I didn't feel nervous. My hands weren't clenched which meant I wasn't nervous. I felt like if I were in a dream. Like nothing bad would happen for the test...even though I didn't study much.

Even when the first test was right in front of me I didn't feel nervous. This was the test I was most worried about and I didn't feel anything. Just being this calm made me want to be nervous.

I wasn't the first to finish. I was almost last but I felt pretty good about it. After making my way through the first hour and twenty minutes I go to the hallways to go to my next test that was scheduled.

My teacher recommended that we take the ten minute break to study or use the bathroom, but I just went to my class. For the rest of the day I was so confident in all my test and I was sure I at least made high B's.

The next two days were the same. After the last test was over on Wednesday everyone either left the school or stayed in the cafeteria.

Since my mom didn't feel like picking me up I had to wait in the cafeteria for 2 more hours. I didn't see Haley anywhere so I figured she must have checked out. Luckily I didn't see Ally either.
