Spring break has been like how I wanted. Me staying inside all day with nothing wrong. There where a few sleepovers which I dreaded every moment, but I had to act natural. They talked about boys while I just kept quiet, trying not to barf.
"Candace how's Blade?" One of the girls asked.
"Oh...uh- he's...Nice." I held a fake smile. When they looked away I made a disgusted face. Honestly I wasn't used to getting text from a boy. He ask if I'm alright or if I want to go out. I always say I'm fine and not today.
It's Friday night. I was tired from the sleepover I had today. I slept again after everyone left, which was by three.
"Candace?" I was woken up by my aunt calling for me. I opened my eyes and slowly got up. I was sore.
"Huh?" I called out. I had fallen asleep in my mom's room.
"Ok just making sure you're here."
I yawned and laid back down. I heard my dad come in a few minutes later. He had his food. My mom came at six with my siblings.
"Candance! Go outside with your sister!" My mom said from the kitchen. I got back up and slipped on some shoes. I didn't want to go outside. I never do.
Especially now that Wendy doesn't greet me with a breeze.
I came out of my room and saw my four year old sister smiling and jumping. "We go play outside!" She ran down the hall and towards the door. I opened it and she ran for her playhouse. I sat on the porch.
'When will I ever be happy here? Somehow I just feel lonely.'
I heard a breeze of wind coming from afar. The leaves started moving along with the branches. I saw the tree line moving and the wind was coming closer.
'Please..'
It reached my house but I didn't feel anything. I looked higher above. 'It must be the upper winds...' I sighed.
I got a call on my phone.
"Hello." I blankly greeted.
"Candace what are you doing?" Blade said. I rolled my eyes and prepared my act.
"Oh nothing! Just finished some chores." I watched my sister play with her dolls. "Why did you call?" I asked.
"Well I was wondering if we can go on a date today. Are you free?"
I tried to think of an excuse. "Uhh-"
"Well it's not really a date if the gang is there. Heh."
I thought about the gang he was talking about. He must be talking about the P.E. gang. So far what I know is that in this universe, in that class, we have a group that makes up about half the class.
"Um.." I thought about my goal.
'I have to learn to be happy in this world. I can't do that if I'm stuck at home all the time..'
"Fine. I'll ask my aunt to drop me off. Where are we meeting?"
"Bowling place at 8:00."
"Got it. Bye." I hung up. 'I have to do it. At least they aren't bad people. They kinda are "fun" to be around. They make funny jokes and are good people. They're kinda like me too. Smart and video game geeks.'
Sorry for the short chapter but I have to update every book I have.
