"Everybody leaves you because you're weird."

I woke up after my alarm went off. That night I hadn't slept very much because I kept hearing voices.

Once I was ready I left for school. It's the third week on Friday. I'm still not used to having Hayley around. I have a few test that seem hard but I never study I just always get good grades. This will be a free homework weekend because of Labor Day.

I've seen a few old friends in my classes but they don't talk to me. I have that Ally girl in 4 of my classes. She always ends up sitting near me because of the alphabetical seating chart.

Well it's 7:24 am and I'm here. I sit in my spot in the cafeteria and get on my phone.

"Seriously you can't be her friend if you wanna be popular." Echoed in my head.

'Why now? Why is this happening now? ...Maybe I do have to make friends or else I'll be haunted forever.'

'3rd class of the day. 4 more to go...but I don't think I wanna be here anymore.'

Since the teacher wasn't here I got on my phone. My mom texted me.

'Good luck today mama!'

'Uhh? What happened..? She never does that...' I thought. Then I texted back.

'Can you check me out?'

'What?! Why?! R u sick?'

'Idk but I'm dizzy and my stomach hurts.'

'Ok do I pick u up now?'

'Yes.'

'Ok I'll be there after I finish eating.'

I got off my phone and started drawing on my app. An art piece for a request. The science teacher won't be here till next week because of some army training.

Since the first day this class has been nothing but a free period, to talk and be on your phone. The sub doesn't care what we do as long as we don't bother her.

A tune came over the intercom, interrupting everyone's conversations. "Candance Orrendal for check out."

I got up and walked out of the class to the welcome center. But when I arrived no one was there. Not even the operator. I signed the check out sheet and walked out. Luckily I saw my mom's car and I quickly got in.

Labor Day weekend is here and I have to get up early.

"Get up." My aunt spoke. She got out of bed and walked out. We share a room whenever school is in because she's in college. In summer she goes back home with her mom.

Today's Sunday and I was sore because yesterday I went swimming. The worst thing about it was that it was in the middle of nowhere with absolutely NO service! And the water was freezing even though it was 96 degrees F.

The day started out fine until...we went to the mountains. The visitors that came here were wanting to sight see and I didn't enjoy it.

"THIS IS TOO HIGH!!!" I whined to my mom

"THIS IS TOO HIGH!!!" I whined to my mom.

"Candance!" She laughed and continued taking pictures.

"I just wanted to go to downtown!" I stepped away from the edge. The stone fence was only about two feet tall not really helping anything.

"Haha! Weeellll too bad!" She laughed.

"Your so boring!" My brother replied. He sat on the edge like my dad.

"And all of you are so immature and irresponsible. Honestly it's like I'm the adult in the family." I say while walking towards the white car. I get in and stay away from the heat.

It's barely Saturday...I was hoping this weekend would be calm and relaxing but nooooo...they just had to invite these people over! Because of them I had to swim in ice water so I wouldn't die of heat stroke.

The next day

"I can't believe I'm here right now." I bluntly spoke. A loud place with at a WHOLE lot of people.

A concert.

My parents yelled and whistled, piercing my ears more than the music already was.

'Seriously I'm gonna be deaf by tomorrow!'

I sat uncomfortably on the steel benches. My funnel cake to one side of me and my cherry snow cone on the other.

'7:56 pm and I have to listen to this for another two hours.'

"I'm going to the theme park is that okay?!" I yelled to my mom over the crowd and music.

"Yeah sure go meet your friends!" She didn't even look at me.

"Sure." I said. She doesn't know I haven't had friends in a while.

I got out of the seats and walked towards the exit. As I walked out I felt nervous for some reason. I don't know why but I've get like this before. The last time I felt like this...lets.. just say a country got attacked the same day.

I continue walking out of the concert area and finally enter the theme park. People all around seem to be heading towards the concert. Honestly how can all the adults resist? They're selling free food and drinks there.

I stop by a wooden bench under a small tree and sit down. I felt a strong pain on my side. Like the day I met Wendy in person or in my dreams. It felt as if someone was stabbing me or a sharp, thin needle was there and if I moved I would die.

After a while it went away but the nervous feeling I had kept growing. My hands just wanted to be in fist.

I heard a faint high pitched scream.

I looked to my left and see nothing. Just people. And they looked normal. I stayed there for a while and waited for something to happen.

Nothing...

Nothing was happening.

As I was about to look away I hear a scream again and this time it was real. Soon enough others start screaming and everyone starts panicking. My heart sank to my stomach as I realized what was happening. I quickly stand up and run against the crowd.

I needed to find my family!
