I remember you Chapter 16

Skylar's POV

I woke up to the sound of my phone and the flashes from the LED. I groggily reached over to it to read what was waking me up and it was Anna calling me and a beaming smile came to my face as I clicked the green, answer button.

"Good morning Sky" I heard a small raspy voice say over the receiver. Poor girl. Must still be sick. "Hi Anna Banana. How you feeling?" I asked tiredly as I rolled to my side in bed. I hate that shes so far away, sick to the bone, and I'm not there to help her. That made my heart break. "Still no progress. But Caleb and Sabrina are taking such good care of me. They left me three bowls of soup downstairs before they left for school and I've been taking all my medicines. I'm sorry did I wake you?" She asked concerned.

I yawned softly. "Thats great to hear and yea you kinda did but I dont mind. I have no school today anyway" I told her as I stretched. "Thank god. So whats new over there? Any gossip?" She asked and I could hear the small smile on her face. I laughed. "Even when you're sick, you're nosey. No. Not a lot has happened" I told her sitting up. "Any boys?" She asked and I could practically sense her winking and teasing through the phone.

I couldnt help but smile to myself because there was a boy. Sebastian. "Yea there is" I flushed. "Oohhhhh tell me!" She squealed and was immediately followed by a rough cough. I laughed at her excitement. "Calm down! Dont die on me" I told her. She laughed gently. "Alright. Now tell me about the boy. Does he like you?" She asked quickly. Then that one day came to my mind.

*START OF FLASHBACK*

Sebastian stole me away from my house to take me on a adventure to the school. As I got into the car, I realized that Vanessa wasnt in the car. I raised an eyebrow as I put my seatbelt on. "Wheres your sister?" I asked. He smiled as his seat belt clicked. "Video date with her boyfriend so I came to get you alone. Do you mind?" He asked with his brilliant smile that made his green eyes sparkle. I was just as star struck as I was when I met him. My heart skipped a beat and I smiled. "Not at all. Lets go" I told kindly and he kept the smile on his face as he drove.

I kept my gaze out of the window and I can feel him looking at me but whenever I tried to look at him, he'd quickly face forward. I smiled to myself and kept my eyes out the window til we reached the school. We both got out and climbed the fence to get into the football field.

We ran to the middle of it and laid there in the grass. I was in a thin short sleeved t-shirt and jeans and was shivering til Sebastian took of his varsity jacket and gave it to me with a sweet smile. I returned it but couldnt say thank you because his gorgeous eyes stopped me. He always left me speechless. I cant feel this way. He doesnt even feel the same. He loves that Emily girl and she's so much prettier than me.

With that thought, my smile faded and I slid Sebastian's jacket on sadly. He noticed but didnt question it. "So how do you like Florida?" I asked him with a small smile. We were both sitting up so we were looking at each other. He smiled again. "Its not Cali. But I can manage. I'm seeing a lot of beautiful things here that I wouldnt be able to see back home" he said with that beautiful British accent and he looked at me with a certain emotion I couldnt point out. I couldnt help but blush and I quickly hid my face with my hair.

"Thats good to hear" I answered. He nodded. I looked above at the empty bleachers and I remembered how Anna and I would come here at night and stare at the stars and think about the future. I sadly smiled to myself as I thought about my best friend and I felt my eyes get watery but I held my tears back.

"Do you miss her?" I heard Sebastian ask sadly as he stared at me and I noticed he moved himself next to me and wrapped an arm around me which got me nervous and I felt my face heat up. I looked down and smiled but he couldnt see. "Everyday" I whispered sadly. "Do you miss her?" I asked him sadly, referring to Emily and he knew cause I saw him flinch which caused a ting of jealously to hit me. "I do but not as much as I did before" he said as he looked down at me. I smiled and at that moment, rain started to pour.
