Anna's POV
Getting out of Caleb's tight grasp without waking him was difficult but I managed. I tip toed to my closet and changed into sweat pants and pulled a hoodie over me. I crept out, got my phone and picked Jacob up in my arms and quietly walked over to the door. But on the way, I stepped on a empty pizza box and I quickly looked over at Caleb, who did nothing but stir in his sleep. I let out a sigh and walked out of our room.
I fast walked to Sky's room and sent her a text to come out. After awhile she came out in the same outfit choice I was in but her hair was still in a messy bun. She looked exhausted. "Ready?" I whispered. She yawned and nodded her head. We quickly but softly walked downstairs.
I unlocked the door and placed a hand over the door knob before turning it gently to open it. We slipped out of the tiny crack I made with the door so I could close it quickly.
"Where to now?" Skylar asked me in a whisper. I looked towards the trees and I remember the path I took the first time. "Come on. I know the way" I whispered the her and I put Jacob down to follow us as I held Skylar's hand to lead her towards my wolf.
We calmly walked towards the small opening the trees had when Skylar hesitantly stopped. I looked at her and saw saw her getting teary eyed and her grip on my hand tightened with fear and I returned the same tighten but with reassurance. I stepped up to her and gave her a tight hug.
I could feel her heart pounding against my chest and I felt another beat that I realized was my own heart pounding. "I know you're scared. I'm scared too Sky. But something is telling me that we'll be okay" I whispered in her ear gently.
I felt her shake from her silent sobbing and she caught her breath before speaking. "What about Sebastian and Caleb?" She asked timidly. "We'll be back for them" I told her with confidence.
I pulled away and she stared into my eyes before looking back at the house where our lovers laid fast asleep. I tugged on her hand and she flashed a look at me with a tear streaming down her face. I quickly wiped it away and gave her a sad smile.
"Do you trust me?" I whispered. She took a deep breath in and composed herself before nodding. "Of course" she whispered bravely. I smiled at her and we continued our walk to down the path.
We walked for about 10 minutes before I stopped abruptly and hushed Sky the minute the view came into my mind. The beautiful white wolf was curled up and deep asleep in the middle of the trees opening. I watched her chest moved up and down with every breath she took. I beamed a smile
"There she is Sky" I said happily and I tightened my grip on her to suppress my happiness. "She really is beautiful" she whispered dreamily. I began to take a step closer and my foot caused a twig to snap and my wolf opened her eyes rapidly and her head snapped up to meet the eyes of her attacker and after a moment of processing she looked into the direction of Sky and I and Sky gasped softly and gripped onto my shoulder's in fear.
"You can come out my dears. I won't hurt you. My purpose here is quite the opposite" a soft, angelic voice echoed in my head and I stepped back in shock. "Did you hear that?" I asked Sky in surprise. "Yes" she whispered.
"Who was that?" She added and began to look frantically around us. Then the same angelic sound appeared to us again but she giggled. "It's me sweethearts. Come out" she told us kindly and at the same time my wolf sat up gracefully and waited for Sky and I to walk out and show ourselves.
I took a hold of Sky's hand and I walked us out of the trees canopy and into the moonlight. The beautiful white wolf titled her head to the side in amazement.
"You girls sure are beautiful. I am honored to be to your protector" the beautiful voice rang again and the wolf kneeled her head down in a bow and looked up at us with pride.
