Caleb's POV
She.....she remembers that day. That day was the day I realized I loved this girl. That was and still is one of my greatest memories with her. But how did she remember. "So hows about that pizza?" She asked with a smile and got up from the chair and walked to her cell phone.
I took my phone out of my pocket and quickly walked to our room. I unlocked my iphone and called the only person wise enough to give me a answer. "Hello?" Her voice chirped through the phone.
"Mom, Anna remembered something" I said with my voice filled with shock. My mother is a psychiatrist and has a license towards these types of situations. There was short pause before my mother spoke again. "What did she remember?" She asked surprised. I let out a long breath that I didnt know I was holding. "One day, I took her to the meadow that is in the middle of the forest behind grandma's old house. Thats what she remembered. All she said that she just randomly remembered. I dont know how" I told her and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Sweetheart what were you during before this happened?" She asked me, her voice sounded like she had a good guess of what was happening.
"I was writing in my journal. I was writing about her and whenever I do, I dont pay attention to anything around me and I smile like an idiot" I explained to her. Then I heard her let out a short laugh. "What is it? Whats funny?" I asked her quickly.
"You sweetheart. You triggered a memory" she said matter of factly. I know she couldnt see me but I had a very confused look plastered on my face. "How?" I asked her.
"On that day, do you remember how you looked at her?" She asked. I sat there and thought for a few minutes til it hit me. "I was smiling really huge. Like how I smile when I write about her. Its the smile I make when she pops into my head" I said in realization.
"And bingo was his name-o" my mother said happily. "So basically if I can remember little things I did towards her and her alone and she sees me reenact it, her memories will be triggered and she can love me again. Right?" I asked.
"Absolutely. But I suggest you dont do it all quickly. Your wedding is in a year. Maybe do at least 2 a month. Keep the intervals wide. We dont want her to go into shock" my mother explained. I nodded my head in understanding. "Alright mom. Thanks. Tell dad for me please. Anna is ordering pizza so I'm gonna go" I told her happily.
"Bye Caleb" she said. I hung up and pretty much skipped out of our room. I was so happy to know a way to get my princess to remember our love.
As I got to the top of the stairs, I could see Anna on the couch flipping through channels. I guess she sensed my presence and looked up and smiled at me. "I hope you like pepperoni. I ordered two boxes. It'll be here in 15 mins" she said. I nodded and walked over to sit next to her on the couch.
"Caleb?" She asked without looking at me. I turned to look at the side of her head. "Yea" I replied. "Why did you call me Princess?" She asked with her head still facing the t.v.
I smiled at her question. Its a cute story but to be safe I only gave her a white lie. "Because you were and still are a spoiled brat. Whatever you asked your parents for, you got it. No questions asked. No fighting. Skylar used to call you that until the accident I guessed" I said to her and let out a small chuckle. I saw her giggle and she turned quickly to slap my arm.
"Ow! What was that for?!" I exclaimed while rubbing my arm. "For calling me spoiled. I may not remember all about you. But I'm sure as hell positive I wasnt spoiled as a kid. That was Dustin and I'm not spoiled now either" she argued annoyingly. I had to laugh at her. She looked adorable when she got even the tiniest upset. At that moment, there was a knock at our door.
