I remember you Chapter 30

Anna's POV

"Hush little baby don't say a word, momma's gonna buy you a mockingbird and if that mockingbird don't sing, momma's gonna buy you a diamond ring" I sang softly to my beautiful baby girl in my arms as I rocked her gently back and forth but she continued to fuss cry so I continued.

"And if that diamond ring don't shine, momma's gonna buy you a valentine" I sang and again she fussed and I was no where near putting her back to sleep.

I groaned in frustration and exhaustion. "Please baby girl, go to sleep for momma. I changed you, feed you, you're perfectly fine" I begged with my infant and she continued to fuss and I gently smoothed the brown hair that covered my baby's head.

"Need some help babe?" I didn't need to look up to know it was Caleb. I just pouted and nodded as he walked over to take our baby into his embrace and almost instantly, she stopped her crying and remained calm. I looked at Caleb with jealously.

"How did you do that?!" I whispered yelled at him and poked his arm roughly. In response, he chuckled and kissed my nose before walking over to the crib and placing our baby there to rest which she soundly did.

"Maybe she's just daddy's little girl babe. Don't be jealous. She loves you too" Caleb whispered to me and pecked my lips while smiling. I sighed. "Then the next time 'daddy's little girl' starts crying, you get her" I joked with him and that made him smile before he grabbed my arm to pull me into his bear hug.

"Aww look how sweet. Sorry we have to ruin the happy moment but we need the girl" a woman's voice spoke. Caleb and I jumped before looking to see who spoke to us like that. In the doorway of my baby's room stood a woman not too taller than me but you couldn't see her face for she wore a cloak as black as ebony and the light from the moon only casted a shadow upon her face. All you could see was the sinister smirk plastered on her face.

"I don't know who you are or what you want but you need to leave before I call the cops" I warned the mystery woman who only laughed in response. "Oh sweet heart, I came for the baby and I'm going to have her" the woman spoke lowly and I looked at my baby girl's crib and ran to get her in my arms but when I looked into the crib my baby was gone.

"Anna!" Caleb shouted and I looked at the woman and she magically had my baby in her arms and even with her, my baby was as quiet as a mouse. Why does she cry when she's with me? I'm her mother.

The woman chuckled and bounced my baby in her arms. "She cries in your arms because you are not her mother" the woman told me, her voice filled with amusement.

"What are you talking about? That's my baby. I gave birth to her!" I yelled angrily and this woman and within a blink of an eye, she was within three inches of my face and I still couldn't see how she looked like.

"How can you give birth when you can't even have children?" She whispered. I fumed with anger and I whipped my arm up to punch her but all I hit was air and I looked around the room in panic and searched for my daughter. I cried and felt the hot tears cover my face and Caleb took a hold of my shoulders to make me face him.

I stared into the purple eyes that filled me with love and comfort but the only eyes I wanted to see were the golden orbs that my daughter possessed. But she was gone and I want her back.

"Anna! Baby! Wake up!" Caleb yelled at me and shook me to get my attention. What? Wake up?

"I'm already awake! Did you not see our daughter being taken away from us?! You wake up!" I yelled and slapped him across the face but he ignored the sting and shook me again. "Wake up Anna! Wake up!" Caleb yelled at me again.

"I'm awake! I'm awake dammit!!!" I yelled and I couldn't think anymore. I wanted my baby back. Where did she go? Why did that woman take her?! WHERES MY BABY?! I sobbed and closed my eyes while Caleb continued to shake me and yell at me to wake up and I reached my arm and slapped him again.
