"Great lesson today, guys! I'll see you tomorrow!" Jimin called out, waving at his students. He wiped a few droplets of water off of his forehead and walked over to his friend, Taehyung, who was sitting on the lifeguard chair. Wasn't Taehyung's boyfriend supposed to be sitting there?

"You know, one of these days, Hoseok's gonna get in trouble because of you," Jimin mused teasingly. Taehyung stuck his tongue out.

"Namjoon's too busy flirting with the ice cream shop owner to notice. Again. Do you know how annoying that is? I have to spend time away from my Hobi because he's too busy trying to get some dick. The ice cream guy isn't even interested!" Taehyung complained.

"Where is your hoe of a boyfriend anyways?" Jimin asked.

"A new guy got a job as a lifeguard here, and since Namjoon's too lovesick, Hobi has to go and train the guy himself," Taehyung pouted.

"A new guy? What's he look like?" Jimin perked up.

"He had mint colored hair, if I remember correctly. He looked pretty cute," Taehyung said thoughtfully. "But I'd never leave my Hobi." Jimin rolled his eyes as Taehyung swooned.

"I'm gonna go check out this new guy for myself," Jimin told the other boy, sighing when there was no response.

Jimin walked away from Taehyung, trudging through the sand dramatically as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. He hummed to himself loudly, tapping a rhythm against the inner fabric of his shorts as he wondered about the new guy. What did he look like? Where was he from? Was it someone from their school?

"Oh, shit!" Jimin exclaimed as he tripped over a large rock that was stuck in the sand.

Jimin squeezed his eyes shut tightly, his body tensing as he braced himself for impact. He frowned when he realized that he hadn't hit the ground yet. He then felt a strong grip of hands against his arms as he was pulled upright and onto his feet. Jimin glanced up at his savior with a bright smile. The guy was cute.

"Thank you so much!" Jimin said, beaming at the taller man. "I'm Park Jimin, and you are?"

"Min Yoongi," the man replied.

"And I'm Jung Hoseok," a familiar voice interjected playfully.

Jimin's face turned to one of horror, and he glanced behind Yoongi to see his best friend's boyfriend. Wasn't Hoseok supposed to be with that new lifeguard? Unless...was the cute boy who had saved him the new lifeguard?

"Hoseok! Hey! Haha, this wouldn't happen to be the new lifeguard, would it?" Jimin asked nervously, eyes darting back and forth from Yoongi to Hoseok.

"He is, and Taehyung will be hearing all about this little incident," Hoseok smirked.

"Hobi, nooo!" Jimin begged, pouting cutely. "He's never gonna let me live it down!" Hoseok shook his head, and Jimin whined.

"Sorry, do you work here too?" Yoongi interrupted politely. Was that a Daegu accent that Jimin could hear?

"Yep! I teach swimming and surfing to kids of all ages," Jimin proudly bragged, placing his hands on his hips.

"What did you say your name was again?" Yoongi questioned.

"Park Jimin!" Jimin replied, and Yoongi's eyes widened in realization. Yoongi opened his mouth hesitantly.

"Ah, really? That's funny. I used to know a girl in my hometown named the same thing."

"Are you going to bully me too?!" Jimin whined, and Yoongi grinned at him, ruffling the shorter boy's hair.

"We'll see. Nice to meet you, Park Jimin. I'm Min Yoongi, your new colleague."

hello! nikita here! hope this was enjoyable enough? sorry if it wasn't long enough; sophie and i haven't decided how long we want each chapter to be D: anyways mmm let's see what should i talk about...ah yes it wouldn't be me if i didn't talk about the song attached!

linked song is a beautiful gem from the past. when did i find this? i think it was around 2012-2013 (probably the latter? idk) when a good friend of mine showed this song to me. it was a bit after the time when i found f(x), so it's definitely an important song to me. i watched it fully for the first time since back then after i linked it, and i honest to god felt like crying. getting a little emotional, aren't you, nikita? anyways, idk if any of you even listen to suju and snsd, but like them or hate them, the song is beautiful, and the music video is very cute.

alright, back to the story. hopefully meeting some of the other members was kinda cute and nice. unlike sophie, i'm not really good at describing things and people, so i stick to writing dialogue more instead. knowing that may help you distinguish who wrote each chapter (even though sophie and i are trying to alternate turns haha). idk if i like how this chapter ended, but please tell me what you did and didn't like!!!

well, this story is turning out to be fun to write, even though sophie and i barely talk about it (i think most of my messages to her include something about infinite, f(x), and/or shinee usually). i can't wait for the next chapter to be uploaded! i'm sure that whatever sophie writes will be fantastic :D
