"That's the pizza!" Jimin's eyes lit up as he heard the delighful dinging of the timer, his smile only intensifying as he watched an equally excited Yoongi mirror his actions.
"I'm so hungry right now, the excitement for this is a little too real." Yoongi cried, helplessly skipping behind his boyfriend into the kitchen.
"If it doesn't taste good, I'm suing you, Park Jimin." He added seriously, making Jimin chuckle.
He slid on a pair of oven mits and heaved the door open, and to his surprise, his eyes were met with the most gloriously golden pizza he had ever seen. As he drew the tray from the oven, he couldn't contain his shock.
"Of course it will - we made it together!" Jimin replied, the playful tone to his voice making it clear that he was, as always, being deliberately cliché.
Despite his distracted ramblings, he too couldn't help but stare at the pizza in awe; he honestly thought it would be burnt or gross seeing as he contributed to making it. He watched intently as Yoongi carefully cut it into individual slices.
"Good thing it's not very cheesy. Looks like you have enough of that as it is." Yoongi mumbled, nudging Jimin as he turned toward the cupboard to collect some plates.
"Very funny," Jimin rolled his eyes, dishing multiple slices onto his plate, "let's take this back into the lounge and put a movie on, yeah?"
Yoongi nodded in agreement, swept up his own plate, and the pair returned to their seats in the front room. The TV was still stirring whatever they had been previously watching, but with a swift click of the remote, Yoongi returned to the main menu, selected the movie section, and examined his options.
"Ooh! They have that horror movie I wanted to see." He said.
Jimin instantly felt his stomach churn. He wasn't a scaredy cat, not at all, (at least, this was what he told himself), but admittedly, he'd rather watch a romance or comedy over a horror film any day. Still, he couldn't reveal this Yoongi without facing humiliation, and after a few seconds of deliberation, decided to suggest something a little less gory.
"O-oh...how about this one?" He asked nonchalantly, despite having not really decided on the film he meant. He slid the remote from Yoongi's hand and curiously scrolled down the screen toward a recent comedy, quickly deciding that it would be a good option.
"I heard it's really funny." He added, sounding sincere.
"Why don't we watch that after this? We've got plenty of time." Yoongi suggested, taking back the remote and pressing play.
"Um, okay..." Jimin murmured. He was far from okay with this, even more so as Yoongi stretched out an arm to flick the lights of the room off, leaving it in complete darkness.
Jimin took a deep breath. He kept his eyes glued to the screen - which was now depicting some sort of static, which he guessed was deliberate - subconsciously moving his hand onto Yoongi's thigh and squeezing it tightly. As the film began, a long-shot of a dilapidated and abandoned house coming into view, he lifted a slice of pizza to his mouth and proceeded to take a bite. Yoongi instantly noticed the shaking hand grasping him in, and sniggering to himself quietly, began to take mental notes of just how he could take advantage of it.
He slid his plate away from him and balanced it onto the edge of the sofa, freeing his hands. Moving in slowly, he flexed his hand before
suddenly latching onto Jimin's. As expected, Jimin released a petrified shriek at his touch, his slice of pizza flying out of his hand, hitting his face and then the floor."Ahh! Yoongi-ah, why would you do that?" He whimpered. Yoongi couldn't help but laugh at the sight of pizza sauce gracing Jimin's cheek. Before long, Jimin's scowl transformed into a smile, and he was laughing too.
"Sorry, I knew you were scared." Yoongi smirked, pulling him into a hug.
"No! No I wasn't!" Jimin insisted, wriggling out of it.
"Yeah, sure. You should have just said - it's fine. We can watch that film you mentioned instead. Anyways, this shirt is new, I don't want tear stains on it." Yoongi jokingly rambled, waltzing out of the room looking pleased with himself.
"Hey! Come back here!" Jimin cried.
Realising Yoongi had sprinted up the stairs, he too took to his feet, and fumbled his way up. Not looking where he was going - and somehow not noticing the towering figure of his boyfriend over him on the top stair, the pair collided, and bracing themselves for impact by huddling into a sort-of hug, hit the floor of the landing, one atop the other. If either of them had gotten hurt, it would have been a very different situation, however the pair erupted into a fit of laughter as soon as they locked eyes, it quickly became clear that this was not the case.
The laughter soon faded, leaving nothing to be heard beside the faint, unsteady rush of their breaths hitting each others' cheeks. They stayed completely still for a moment, both contemplating whether or not to make some sort of move. It seemed like the thing to do, at least.
Eventually, Yoongi grasped just how close they were, and out of either embarrassment or instinct pushed himself upward, so he was sat at the opposite end of Jimin's feet. He couldn't ignore the fact that he was bare able to make eye-contact with him without the feeling of warmth rising in his chest; he'd never felt that before.
Soon enough, Jimin followed, his expression perplexed."I was kidding, you know." Yoongi sighed, suddenly breaking his silence. He tried his hardest not to giggle as he remembered why he had been running from Jimin in the first place.
"Yeah, you better have been." Jimin shuffled across the floor, playfully
shaking his boyfriend's shoulders before leaning in and planting a peck on his lips."You still have sauce on your face." Yoongi smiled, licking a finger and reaching up to Jimin's cheek to wipe the stain away. Jimin merely blushed.
