Just as his arms were beginning to ache with the heavy weight of the bottles in his grasp, Jimin released the load onto the sand with a hefty sigh. Looking up once again, he was shocked at the number of faces he didn't recognise clustered around the fire; he was sure that he hadn't seen this many people working on the beach before.

While the majority of the light which lit the crowd seemed to be radiating from the flickering flames, certain individuals had been adorned with glow sticks or flashlights which only further intensified the brightness of the scene. Some groups were dancing, others were screeching along deafeningly to the music, but all of them must have had a cup clenched in one hand. Even if only with a few added people, this was a whole world apart from the sort of parties Jimin was used to, and he couldn't help but feel that he was somewhat late to it as his friend approached him.

"You made it!" Taehyung cried, pulling him into a hug strongly tainted with the scent of alcohol and bonfire smoke.

"Yeah, but you do know these are just soda, right?" Jimin laughed, lifting up a bottle and pedantically tapping the label.

"Duh, I might be drunk but I'm not stupid." Taehyung stammered in response, almost falling over but shakily lifting himself back up again using Jimin's shoulder.

He had never seen Taehyung drunk before. Or at least, not this drunk. Usually a small sip of something would have been enough to send him to sleep, but his deep rosy cheeks and slurred words suggested to Jimin that he had been active for more than a few hours, much to his surprise.

"How did you even manage to get drinks anyways?" Jimin questioned.

"Some of the older kids from college brought stuff or something." He replied, melodramatically stroking his chin.

Jimin diverted his attention from Taehyung to the crowd, wondering which of the typically sensible staff members had provided the party with  the drinks. As he circled around in search of them, he spotted a lonely-looking figure hunched over on a log beside the crackling fire. On second glance, he quickly realised that this was Yoongi, and that he was also looking rather overwhelmed by the atmosphere with a concerned look adorning his face. He took this as his cue.

"Well then, make sure Hobi is always close by, right?" Jimin abruptly exclaimed, nodding Taehyung a goodbye.

Just as he began to approach Yoongi,  he was whipped backward.

"Wait! Let me get you a drink my man!" Taehyung giggled, dragging him along by the arm.

"Alright, okay." Jimin sighed. Maybe a drink or two would loosen him up a little.

Yoongi had never been the type of person for parties. However, he was equally not the type of person who was confident enough to reject an invite to one, and as he couldn't think up any reasonable excuse, he found himself slumped uncomfortably over the fire, alone. Despite being dragged along by an overly enthusiastic Min Pyo, he was long gone into the crowd. He almost resented him for leaving him, but soon remembered that he hadn't the effort. Besides, the fire was warm, and if he looked past all of the unnecessary noise that accompanied them, the music choices weren't entirely awful.

"Min Yoongi! Fancy seeing you here!" A wobbling voice suddenly echoed next to him.

As he noticed the pressure of a person squeezing up against him, Yoongi turned to see that a wide-eyed and practically gaping Jimin had placed himself down next to him definitely overcrowding the small log on which they were seated. There was no denying that the boy was incredibly tipsy. His hair was roughly tousled into a heap on his head, his shirt was unbuttoned much too far down, and the usual mischievous glint in his eyes had been very clearly replaced with one of an alluring nature. Yoongi half didn't know what to expect, and half had an idea of how this would play out.

"At a party for staff...on the beach in which we both work..." He began, quickly being interrupted by a vigorous slap to the arm.

"Yeah! Weird!" Jimin grinned.

"Are you okay, Jimin-ah?" He questioned, subconsciously shuffling along the seat.

"Well I'm only sat next to the beach's most gorgeous lifeguard, so I'd say so..." Jimin rambled, clapping his hands over Yoongi's cheeks and squeezing a them as if he were a baby. Yoongi was taken aback, but couldn't help but release a soft chuckle. This kid was cute.

"You're drunk. C'mon, let's get you home." He stood up, reaching a hand out for Jimin to grasp.

"Home? The party's just started, right guys?" Jimin cheered, to little response.

"Right, we're leaving now, okay? You know how to reach your house?"

With his eyes fixed to the distant end of the street, and the familiar sensation of Jimin's head rested atop his shoulder, Yoongi turned away from the cheering crowd surrounding the bonfire. As he tiresomely heaved his feet along the sandy gravel, he wound an arm around the boy's waist to support him.

"Hey, Yoongi-hyung?" Jimin whispered.

"Yes?" He answered, unsure of why he was suddenly nervous.

"You know I like you, right?"

"Oh really? We barely know each other." He calmly responded, fighting a smile.

"Yeah, for now." Jimin sighed.
