"It's been pretty quiet, huh?" Hoseok noted, letting out a low whistle as he glanced around the beach. Yoongi nodded.

"It'd be nice if it was always this way," Yoongi sighed, tapping his fingers against the side of his chair softly.

Yoongi let his eyes drift over to where his boyfriend was teaching a class of children how to surf. He chuckled softly as he watched Jimin cutely rub his eyes after some water splashed in them. Yoongi perked up when he saw Jimin and his students come out of the water, and he jumped down from his chair. He grabbed his rescue board, just in case, and turned back to Hoseok.

"Hey, Hoseok, I'm gonna go say hi to Jimin real quick. I'll be right back," Yoongi told him, and Hoseok nodded.

Yoongi flashed the other lifeguard a quick smile before running down the sand dunes and towards his boyfriend. He snuck up behind Jimin and clamped his hands down on the younger boy's shoulders, grinning playfully. Jimin yelped and fell backwards onto the sand. Yoongi laughed as Jimin stood up and scowled at him.

"You scared me!" Jimin complained, giving Yoongi a dark glare as he continued to brush sand off from his swimming shorts.

"Whoops. Sorry. My bad," Yoongi responded. He smirked. "It seems like you get scared really easily though, huh? I mean, first the movies, and now this–"

"You're the worst boyfriend ever," Jimin huffed, crossing his arms childishly and turning away from Yoongi.

"Aw, c'mon baby, don't be mad." Yoongi pouted and wrapped his arms around Jimin's waist, pulling his boyfriend's back against his chest. He pecked Jimin's cheek and neck lovingly before resting his head on Jimin's shoulder. "I'm sorry."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. You're paying for dinner tonight," Jimin said, slipping out of Yoongi's arms and grinning excitedly.

"I was going to anyways. That's kind of what people do on dates, you know?" Yoongi retorted.

"Date? Who would wanna go on a date with you?" Jimin scoffed jokingly.

Yoongi was about to reply, but a high-pitched scream cut him off. Yoongi's head snapped towards the water, and he noticed a young boy flailing his arms wildly before a wave crashed over him. Yoongi promptly grabbed his rescue board and paddled out to the area where he had seen the kid. He saw the boy's head bob above the water again, and he quickly picked the boy up and placed him on his rescue board.

"Are you okay?" Yoongi said, patting the shivering boy on the back worriedly. The boy coughed out some water and wiped his mouth, nodding at Yoongi.

"What happened out there?" Yoongi asked.

"My leg cramped," the boy answered, his voice scratchy. "Thank you."

"It was no problem." Yoongi smiled at the boy comfortingly and hopped down from his rescue board. He began to push the board back to the shore, where Hoseok and a few people were already waiting. Once they reached the shore, a young girl and a man rushed towards the boy.

"Yi An-ah, are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?" the girl worried. Yi An smiled at her weakly.

"I'm fine," he replied.

"Thank you so much for saving my son," the man told Yoongi.

"You're welcome. I'm just glad I got to him in time," Yoongi responded. "Hoseok, can you bring these three inside so we can warm him up and make sure he's not injured anywhere?"

Hoseok nodded. "Got it."

"Thank you again," Yi An's father repeated, and Yoongi smiled at them warmly before Hoseok leaded them away. Yoongi wiped his brow and walked back to where Jimin was standing. He frowned. Jimin was still staring out at the water, unblinking as he stood rigidly.

"Jimin?" Yoongi called, waving a hand in front of Jimin's face. "You okay?" Jimin blinked and looked at Yoongi.

"Sorry. I zoned out," Jimin explained.

"It's fine," Yoongi replied. "Are you okay though?"

"I'm fine. I'm just a bit hungry. Hey, how about we go get some ice cream? Hm? C'mon," Jimin said, rushing towards Jin's grandfather's ice cream shop. Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows. Was he mistaken, or was that fear he had seen in Jimin's eyes earlier? He shook his head. It didn't matter. Jimin had said he was fine.

"Wait for me!" Yoongi shouted as he ran after Jimin.
