Just like it would always be on a Friday night, the arcade was packed full.
It was no wonder why, either. The striking neon lights and excited cheers radiating out onto the pier were enough to draw crowds of people in, let alone with the added abundance of unique games that were available to play inside.
Upon entry, the place felt equally old as it did new; rows and rows of retro games and traditional token-spewing machines sat opposite the newest arcade crazes, and the savoury aroma of the nearby sea-food stall masked the faint scent of dust. That being said, it was mostly young people and children who made up the seemingly endless queues that wound around the small room.
Amongst them were Jimin, Yoongi, Taehyung and Hoseok - all patiently filed behind one another and waiting to play.
They had been in the arcade for around an hour before it started to get very busy. It was lucky that they had even managed that long, as even at five o'clock, there were quite a few people inside. Still, they had respectably collected three whole pots of tokens - just enough to win a small teddy bear. As soon as the cashier handed it across the counter, Jimin slid it over to Yoongi, his fiery cheeks burning red. Two hours later, it was still clutched lovingly in Yoongi's grasp.
"It's getting a bit busy, shall we get back to mine?" Hoseok asked, sighing slightly at the sight of the long queue ahead of them.
"Sure." Yoongi nodded. He shyly turned toward Jimin, almost as if for approval.
"I'm up for it!" Jimin smiled.
Before too long, they had squeezed themselves out of the arcade and back onto the pier. Hoseok claimed that the walk to his house was only twenty minutes, and the group were happy to oblige as they slowed down into a leisurely stroll, chatting amongst themselves.
"What movie shall we watch, then?" Yoongi questioned.
"Aish, do we really have to watch a movie? Isn't that a bit boring for a Friday night?" Taehyung replied, nudging Hoseok suggestively.
"I don't think so. How about..." Yoongi began, quickly stopping as an enthusiastic voice interrupted.
"You know, my parents aren't actually home this weekend!" Hoseok announced, poking Taehyung playfully.
Yoongi shot Jimin a concerned look.
"Great! Let's have some fun!" Taehyung exclaimed, punching the air.

As Hoseok promised, the journey took around twenty minutes, and since it had drawn to a close, Jimin and Yoongi remained in the same position, their mouths agape as they watched what was happening.
As the others entered the house, Hoseok practically danced in, launching himself toward the tv at his first opportunity. After a few moments of scrambling and fiddling with the remote, he reached a music channel, and proceeded to raise the volume as high as it could go. When he had reached his desired level, (which was so piercing that Jimin and Yoongi exchanged equally painful gazes), he lured Taehyung into the centre of the vast room with him and span him around in circles. Minutes had passed, and Taehyung was now stood by the door frame, flicking the lights in time to the beat that Hoseok was moving to.
One poignant word came to Yoongi's mind: dorks.
"I won't lie, this isn't the 'fun' I was envisioning." Yoongi mumbled, making Jimin giggle.
"Lighten up you guys!" Hoseok shouted suddenly, clearly out of breath from dancing.
"Yeah, how about we play a game or something?" Taehyung suggested, finally settling his hand on the light switch.
Hoseok's eyes lit up, and a mischievous grin spread across his cheeks. As he slowly turned the volume down, a heavy feeling of dread flipped Yoongi and Jimin's stomachs over completely.
"How about truth or dare?" Hoseok whispered, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes! I'll start!" Taehyung cried. He hurriedly dropped to the floor and crossed his legs, almost resembling a giddly school girl in his demeanour. Hoseok shortly followed.
Jimin recalled Taehyung and Hoseok being drunk. How was this barely different?
Reluctantly, Jimin and Yoongi edged toward the excited pair.
"Hobi, truth or dare?" Taehyung asked.
"Truth!" Hoseok replied, barely leaving time to think.
"Hmmm...what do your parents really think of me?" Taehyung blurted out, clearly flustered.
"They like you! At least sorta." He stammered nervously in response.
"Hey!" Taehyung laughed, lightly hitting his arm defensively.
"We'd better step in before they start having a domestic..." Jimin sighed across to Yoongi, rolling his eyes and giggling slightly.
"Right! Jimin, truth or dare?" Yoongi clapped his hands together confidently.
"Truth!"
"Agh, so boring..." Taehyung whimpered beneath his breath.
"Oh, I have one," Yoongi replied, deep in thought for a moment, "why are you afraid of the water?"
