Chapter 18
The next day they let me go home, but I honestly didn't know where home was anymore. Is my home back with Kian, Jc, and Kia who are all mad at me no matter how small, or is it back in Kentucky with my parents, who I miss more than anything.
As I was debating this my phone vibrated. I unlocked it to see 2 messages, one from Jc and one from Kia. My heart broke a little more inside at the realization that it wasn't Kian.
Jc: Kia told me to tell you she'd be there in 15 minutes.
I checked the time he sent this and realized it was 20 minutes ago. Kia should be here any minute, and I still didn't know what I was going to do. I let out a deep breath before opening Kia's message.
Kia: I'm outside, I'll be inside in a few to come get you out. Btw I stopped by the store and picked up some Arizonas ;)
I smiled at my down at my phone. My best friend knew me so well. The smile faded from my face as I realized that I might be leaving her behind. Tears began to fille my eyes, but I quickly wiped them away when I heard a soft knock on the door. I looked up, and there stood Kia with a can of Arizona in her hand.
"You okay chica? Did I just see you wipe tears away?"
I shook my head slightly, and put on a smile. I was so happy to see her, even if she was still mad at me. I made my way over to her and gave her a tight hug.
"I'm sorry," I said my voice muffled by her shoulder that I hid my face against.
"Sorry for what?"
"For believing her. I shouldn't have and I'm sorry."
Kia giggled a little and pulled back so she could see my face.
"There is no need to apologize. Honestly I understand completely."
I smiled and hugged her again. This is why I loved Kia, she truly understands me for me. She doesn't stay mad at me for stupid things.
Just as quickly as the smile appeared on my face it disappeared. I knew now exactly what I was going to do.

When we finally arrived at home Jc and Kian weren't home. This was a good thing for me, I could pack my bags quickly, and leave before anyone knew. Kia was in her room with Jayce, feeding him.
I took my chance and packed clothes into a suitcase, and called a taxi. As I packed the last of my shirts into the suitcase, I looked around the room fighting back tears.
This is it. You're really leaving?
I took in a deep shakey breath as I thought to myself how wrong this was. My mind was saying one thing, and my heart was saying another. I had millions of thoughts pouring through my head as I zipped up my suitcase.
Glancing around the room one more time I let a few tears slip out. This was so much hardee than I thought, I wasn't as strong as everyone said I was.
At least say goodbye.
I thought as my eyes landed on a picture on the dresser. It was a picture of Kian and I on one of our dates before I was pregnant. We were standing inside a white wooden gazebo on the beach, the sun was setting in the background. I was smiling wide at the camera and Kian was standing behind me with his arms around my waist pulling me close, while kissing my cheek. The memories of that night played in my head as tears flowed nonstop down my cheeks.
"Come on, I have one more surprise."
Kian smiled and took my hand helping me up off the grass. Tonight was one of our date nights. So far we've went to the fanciest restaurant ever, took a walk around a beautiful park filled with flowers of many different colors, a perfect place for wedding pictures, and got ice cream. Now we were currently on our way to yet another surprise. I smiled up at him as we walked hand in hand down the street going in the opposite direction of home. Tonight has been more than perfect, it was one of the best days of my life.
"Well, aren't you full of surprises tonight." I said giggling a bit. He simply looked down at me smiling.
"Anything for my princess."
I couldn't stop the red from spreading across my face. He was so perfect.
"Well Mr. Romeo, can you tell me where we're going?"
Kian nodded as we turned the corner. Once I looked away from his face and payed attention for the first time I realized we were just yards away from the beach.
"We're going to walk across the beach and watch the sunset."
I felt my heart skip a beat as a smile grew across his face. How could one human be so perfect?
"I remember you saying you'd love doing it one day on a date, so I made it happen."
Maybe it was kind of corny and part of a chessey romance movie, but you had to admit it was adorable. When we finally reached the sand I look off my shoes and dug my toes into the sand.
Kian held my hand again as we walked down the beach, and watched the sky change from blue to a ray of pinks, purples, and a hint of orange in places. The view was absolutely perfect. That's when I noticed a wooden white gazebo. It faced the ocean and had a bunch of flowers around it, the perfect place for a cheesey couple picture.
"We have to get a picture in there," I said to Kian pointing to the gazebo. He smiled and we both raced over to it, trying to get the perfect picture before the sun went down completely.
After 8 tries we got the perfect picture. I was smiling widely at the camera, Kian was kissing my cheek from behind me with his arms around me waist. It was the best picture ever.
I turned around in his arms so we were face to face. Our faces were just inches apart, and our noses touched. Kian smiled and looked me directly in the eyes.
"You're so perfect and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." He smiled even wider and kissed me slowly and passionately.
I was drawn out of my flashback as Kian walked through the bedroom door and called my name. I froze, I wanted to be gone before he came home. My suitcase filled with clothes was on the bed, all my makeup and hair products were all in another bag next to the suitcase. I was all ready to go, the only thing that stopped me was the picture, and now it was too late to leave unnoticed.
"What are you doing?"
What was I doing?
