Chapter 20
After leaving the house Kian drove me to the beach. By the time we got there the sun was begining to set, and there wasn't a single person there. We got out of the car and walked hand in hand down to the sand.
As we drew walked along the beach, I spotted the white gazebo we were at before where I got my favorite picture of us. The smile on my face grew as I thought back to that night again.
Tonight though it looked different. The flowers that used to be surrounding it were now replaced by red, white and pink roses. There were vines wrapped around both of the sides of the gazebo at the entrance, and inside was a blanket on the floor with some pillows and a picnic basket. On the seats inside the gazebo were candals and a lighter, waiting to be lit.
I smiled up at Kian as he guided me to the beautiful set up. I was almost in tears at the surprise, everything looked so perfect.
"You did all of this?"
Kian smiled and nodded as he looked around admiring his work. "Do you like it?"
"Like it? Babe, I love it. It's absolutely beautiful."
I stood just outside of the gazebo looking around at all the work he did. All of this, just for one night here with me. It felt so unreal, like I was in a dream. Kian grabbed a white rose from beside the gazebo and carefully put it in my hair, all while keeping eye contact. He moved closer and wrapped his arms around my waist, holding my body against his.
Our face were just centimeters apart. We were so close I felt his lips brush against mine as he talked.
"My fiancé deserves the best," he said with a bright smile, and then he closed any space between us as he kissed me softly and passionately.

Kian and I just finished eating some of the food he packed for us, and now we're laying down in the gazebo watching the stars in the sky. Tonight has been beyond perfect. We had dinner, watched the sun set, gotten even closer than we were before, he talked to the baby, and we even played with sparklers that he found in the basket. It was now probably around midnight, and laying here in his arms as we listen to the waves crashing onto the shore, I was just about ready to fall asleep. It took everything I had not to fall asleep.
Instead I tried to focus on something else. That's when I noticed I could hear his heart beat. I smiled and snuggled closer to him listening to the rhythm of his heartbeat. It wasn't long before my eyes grew heavy, and they fell shut.
I tried opening them a little as I felt myself being lifted, and then carried away. It was almost impossible, and I gave up shortly after being placed in a car where I fell asleep.
When I woke up I was back home in my bed. As the memories of the night before played out in my head I smiled and turned in bed to see Kian, but he was gone. The clock next to the bed said it was already 12:00 which meant Kian and Jc were probably filming, or planning a video. Getting out of bed I stretched a little and got myself ready for the day.
I went downstairs to find that everyone was gone. I felt myself getting anxious, and the memories of just the day beore played in my head. The feeling of loneliness grew, so I did the first thing that came to mind. I picked up my phone, and called my mom.
It's been months since I've talked to my parents. The last time I called them I told them I was pregnant, and they didn't like that too much. Honestly, I had no idea what I was going to say to my mother. It's been so long, I don't really know what to talk about with her. Of course I wasn't going to tell her anything about McKenna popping up, or the bathroom incident that ended with me in the hospital. There was really nothing else going on, and I was debating whether or not I should just hang up and call Kia instead.
Finally I decided that I would just hang up and save myself the trouble, but it was too late. The phone stopped ringing and I heard my mother clear her throat before speaking.
"Hello?"
