Chapter 25

"Sit down," Kia said. I did what I was told and sat on the couch. Jc and Kia both stayed standing. By the look on Jc and Kia's face I wasn't quite sure if this news was good or bad. Jc had a poker face and looked like he was deeply in thought, and Kia too had a poker face on staring straight at me.

Before speaking Kia looked at Jc and frowned slightly. She looked back at me and bit her lip. My nerves were starting to get to me, and I couldn't take the silence any longer.

"Well, after the doctors ran multiple tests, and didn't find anything wrong with me," Kia said as she started to look down at het feet, then over towards the window, and pretty much anywhere except for at me or Jc.

"So what happened?"

"They ran one last test before we could leave..." Kia said her voice getting softer. It seemed like she was pretty upset, and Jc still stared down at the floor. Kia took a deep breath and spoke again, "They made me take a pregnancy test, and it came out
...positive."

My jaw dropped and I stared between Kia and Jc. Neither of them seemed to be very excited about this.

"Kia that's amazing!"

A small smile slowly spread across her face, but instantly fell. It was like she wouldn't allow herself to be happy. Instead she grabbed onto Jc's hand, and they both went to their room.

"Kian, I'm serious. Neither of them were happy. Kia looked like she was about to cry, and Jc...I couldn't read his expression."

After Kia and Jc left me in the living room I waited there for Kian to come home. Being alone gave me time to think about what happened. The last Kia was pregnant her and Jc were so happy, but this time Jc didn't even show an emotion and Kia seemed like she would break down crying any minute. Having a baby is an amazing thing. Sure at times it can be scary, but in the end, when you finally get to hold your child in your arms, there's just nothing better than that. Kia knew that, and so did Jc.

"Hails, you're over thinking it. Its obvious why neither of them are too happy about this new baby."

"It is?" I asked looking up at Kian. He nodded and took a seat on our bed next to me.

"This is their second kid they might just be scared. You know like....not sure how to handle two babies. I mean Jayce is only going to be one."

He had a point. It would be quite difficult with three babies all living in one house. We wouldn't really have room in this house anyway.

"Kian, do you think....maybe it's time we get our own house?"

Kian looked up at me in shock. I knew it seemed crazy that we move out considering Kian an Jc needed to film for the KnJ channel, but we all just didn't fit here. He opened his mouth ready to give an answer, but I interrupted him.

"Just, hear me out first okay?"

"Okay?"

I took a deep breath before continuing, "Kia and Jc are going to have two kids, and you and I have a child. As much as I love living with my two best friends we can't. There's just not enough room here. Think about it, we could rent the house just down the street, or somewhere close by. Y'all will still be able to film, and I can still be near Kia."
