Chapter 22 True Colors

//Mikasa POV//

"Soldiers! Attack!" Mikasa shouted as Ymir was being dragged around on the floor. Mikasa and the soldiers swing in...cutting into the arms and piece of the Colossal Titan nape. Not being able to hit the human inside but damaging the titan was great as Mikasa aimed at the legs...cutting through weak spots and causing the massive titan to collapse. Ymir then came with a comeback and begins to slash at the nape of the Colossal Titan. Mikasa dives in...finally seeing the king, the Titan-Shifter of the Colossal Titan.

"We got him!" one of the soldier cheered.

"..." Mikasa doesn't say anything as she watched from on top of a destroyed building to see Ymir pulling the king out. Who was shouting and yelling curses. Mikasa jumps down and begins to walk forward towards Ymir titan form is and when she dropped the shifter on the floor. Rico and other soldier begin to tie him up.

"Commander, what do we do with this prisoner?" Rico asked as Mikasa eyes were hidden by the shadow of her hair as she walks slowly towards the shifter.

Mikasa pulls slowly out another gear blade and swings her arm out with it...the metal shining by the sun and aimed at the kings head. Who was shivering in fear as he finally saw Mikasa's eyes...nothing but a killing intent.

"...My king..." Mikasa begins with a taunting saying to the word 'king'. "You...marked my husband as wanted for crimes that were never true. You risked the lives of those I care about...and my precious children."

"Commander?" Rico didn't understand what was going on.

"...I should kill you right on the spot..." Mikasa muttered out as she finally was standing right in front of the king. Her sword's tip touching his throat and slowly aims it towards his chest, in the direction of where his heart is. He was sweating and in tears of fear. But instead of killing him...she lowers it. "...But I won't spill more blood than I have already had...Rico!"

"Yes, Commander Jaeger?" Rico responded.

"Take him away...and execute him." Mikasa said without mercy. She begins to walk away...until she looks up to the castle where she sees the dissolving bodies of Eren's, Alice's, and Deimos's titans. She tsked...and turns to look at the soldiers and Rico. "Rico! I leave you in charge...any enemy soldiers still attacking...take them down...not out. And makes sure to find survivors from the battle with the Titans. It is time we earn back the trust of the innocent."

"Yes, Commander." Rico saluted as Mikasa runs off and grapples to a building. Heading to the castle.

//Eren POV//

"...Dad..." Eren turns his gaze to his daughter as they were silently walking through a hallway, leading to where they knew Deimos was waiting at. Johnny, who had follow them, was walking behind them with a bow and a few arrows.

"Yes?" Eren asked Alice as she pulls out a sword. Her hands were shaking.

"I...I'm scared..." she admitted. "...I don't know I can beat him."

"You can do it, Alice...and you won't be alone to face him." Johnny spoke up with a grin. "I got your back."

"And don't lose faith in yourself, Alice." Eren made them stopped. "Hey...want to know a secret?"

"About what?" Alice smiled. He was glad they can think off the seriousness of the battle.

"How to make you stronger..." Eren smiled.

"How?!" Alice asked quickly.

"...Listen to my heart...to your mother's heart...to Johnny's heart...to your brother's heart who looks up to you. Listen to the hearts that you care for. Let them flow through you, grasp it and never let go. Let it fuel you and give everything that's against you hell!" Eren grins as he placed his hand on his daughter's head.
