Where are you now

ZAYN POV

I awake feeling too warm again this morning , Damn heat .

I stretch my hand across the bed to sky but the beds empty . I glance at my phone it's 9:45 . It's late I must of been tired because I'm usually up before this . Maybe she's down stairs , oh yes she had therapy again this morning at 7am . My mind wanders to her and her thoughts . She's doesnt talk about it with me I wonder why but at least she's talking to somebody .

I shower and dress before heading downstairs to her . The house is quite expect for Ruby who is on her iPad sitting on the deck .

"Hey Ruby have you seen sky ?" I ask her as I approach her . She has her earphones in so I call her again .

"Oh hey Zayn , nope I thought she was with you ?" She replies .

"No, she had therapy at 7 thou , il call her " . I wander to the kitchen for coffee . I have finally got the hang of that fancy machine she has .

There's no answer that's strange .

"Zayn man whats going on ?" Niall asks taking a seat at the breakfast bar .

"Make us one of those will ya mate ?" He asks .

"Nothing much man have you seen Sky ?" I ask him whilst grabbing a second mug .

"Yea I seen her at 7:30 with a woman she was letting her out . An agent or something then I seen her loading up her bike she looked grumpy so I left her . She's not a morning person is she ?" He laughs

"Actually she is , ah maybe she went for a ride and that's why she's not answering " I shrug it off and fix Nialls coffee while grabbing breakfast .

It's 12: 45 and she's not back . She still won't answer . She must really be getting in some riding today .

"Ruby where does sky Ride when she's here "? I ask Ruby who is swimming with Niall .

"Mostly her bedroom ?" She yells sarcastically . I roll my eyes at her .

"Am about ten minutes from here down at laytons track " she laughs .

The heat is getting to me so I decide on having a dip in the pool to cool off . Shel be home soon .

At 4:30 I'm getting antzy . She's been gone since 8:00 . I think Ruby is a little worried too because she never told her she had plans and them too share everything .

"You don't think she had an accident or something ?" Ruby asks and I scowl at her .

"Yea of course not we would of heard something by now . Maybe she's just still at laytons " she suggests .

"Ya maybe il drive down , is there a car around ?" I ask

"There's the BMW because if she took the bike then she has the jeep .can you drive left hand ?" She asks

Oh shit I forgot that .

"No but il manage " I snap but its not at her .

"Give her a few more minutes then il drive you down and you can come back up with her , let me try ring her again " she replies .

"Her phone is off probably a dead battery . She's just still on the track god knows she loves it . Finish your food and wel give a spin down " she suggests and that's what I do.

It's 5pm I'm going crazy . I can't sit I need to look for her . Ruby grabs the car keys and we head .

"Zayn stop stressing she's fine . Your over reacting " Ruby says but the discomfort in her voice doesn't go unnoticed .

We pull up to laytons but I can't see the jeep .

"Hey Christopher , have you seen sky today ? " Ruby asks a man standing at the gate .

"Ya sky was here this morning but she left again about 12ish maybe 12:30 I'm not sure " he replies and ruby looks to me .

"Ok Thanks " she calls and takes off . She stops at the end if the car park and tries to rack her brain as to her whereabouts .

"Maybe she's with a friend , but I know all her friends and shed never go with out letting us know and shed call anyway from one of there cells " she says and I no now she's worried . She knows her better than anyone but why doesn't she know where she could be .

I get out of the car to catch a breath . I kick a stray rock along the car park . Where is she . I recall her steps this morning and suddenly I feel like I should ring Elgstein maybe she knows maybe she said something that would give us a clue .

I call her .

"Ok thank you il will let you know " I hang up the phone . I'm going crazy .

I jump back into the car .

"Well " Ruby asks .

"Elgstein reckons she's at the grave , the place the baby was buried " I whisper . I'm shocked and worried . That's the last place I would of thought but its worth a try .

"She wouldn't go there , she has never been there . She said there was no point it was only ashes in a ground and that she never meet her baby so why go " she says but looks puzzled

"Yea but look at her she's getting help maybe she's there look just take me there or il drive myself or you but move it " I snap at her but she only shakes her head . I don't think she believes she could be there .

We pull up at the memorial garden and there I see her jeep . Ruby and I both gape at each other .

"This is the last place i expected her to be " Ruby says under her breath but its more to herself .

"Which side is the babies , over there look " I point to a sign

"It wouldn't be there , it will be with the preborns I remember Ryan telling me because he wanted it buried with the other children but its not usual protcal.

"Look over there , that's were your find her " she points to the left .

I jump out quickly banging the door .

"Oh Zayn " she calls after me

"Just be careful , this is not like her and I'm worried just mind her ok ?" She says and I can see her eyes they are glassy so she pulls down her sunnies to cover them . I nod back and take a deep breath . Worst thing I could do is go charging over to her and scaring her .

I see her . She's sitting crossed legged on a patch of cross facing a pink marble cross . She looks dazed . I approach her slowly as not to frighten her .

"Sky ?" I call gently and she looks up a little confused .

She has been crying I can still see the fresh tear stains on her cheeks .

"Are you ok ?" I ask her again but she doesn't answer she only turns back around and staring straight ahead .

"Can I sit with you ?" I ask her moving closer this time . I wait until she gives me the nod first before I sit next to her

In silence .

Oh sky my darling ....
