Living life .. A Zayn malik fan fiction

Expectations : )

Zayn lights the candles on the breakfast bar before he refills my glass and his own . He sits at the kitchen bench telling me stories of there travels over the last couple of weeks while I cook .
It's nice just to cook for him while we chat .

I have cooked a basic dinner .
Chicken veg and mash but its the best I can do for now .
I place it down in front of Zayn gauging his reaction .
"It look good baby " he says and I sigh a breath of relief .
Why am I so on edge ..
It's only dinner .
I'm glad when he tucks in and looks to be enjoying it . He continues to tell me about up coming plans and then we discuss the upcoming trip to Ghana.

His phone rings mid dinner but he dismisses it .
It rings again and he answers mouthing sorry to me . It's Louis,
Him and El are popping down for a drink and a catch up .

"That was really good babe thank you" he coos leaning across the breakfast bar to kiss me .
"Il tidy up " he suggests but I shake my head .
"Il tidy up you go fetch us another drink " . I reply standing to gather up the plates .

Load the dishwasher.
The door bell rings and Zayn yells to come in .
It's Louis and El .
"Look at you two being all domesticated .. " Louis comments coming to kiss me on the cheek .
"We're trying " I add laughing moving on to greet El .
They take a seat at the breakfast bar while Zayn gets up to get them a drink.
"I'm training her up .. " Zayn says smugly retrieving El a wine glass from the press he winks at me .
They both laugh .
I smile at him shyly and he comes towards me wrapping me in his arms while I place my hands on his chest .

"Are you secretly testing me ?" I ask cheekily
"I'm test driving the car before I buy it" he replies matter of factly .
"And .. "
"I'm happy with the car but it just needs tuning " he replies and I smack his chest pushing him away from me laughing .
"You two are too cute " El laughs and Zayn smiles at her Goofily handing her a glass of wine .

"So what's your buzz .. Chylamida boy" Louis cheers and Zayn shakes his head. He sits with them filling them in as I finish wiping down the counter tops.
I go and sit next to Zayn facing him perching my feet on the footrest of his stool .
"And the whole whore thing " EL giggles .
"I can't hold my tongue at all .. It slipped out " I reply .
"And it slipped again at Asda " Zayn adds and El is dying to hear all about it .
"It's all drama , I'm glad I'm not famous " El moans .
"It's too crazy ... " .

They stay for another drink with us before leaving to catch up with El's family at hers for dinner.

"Il light the fire in the living room you grab us another drink " he suggests.
"Lighting a fire Is something I can do , so you grab the drinks " I cockily reply and he sniggers at me .
His phone rings again on the way to the kitchen .
"Here it's for you " he says handing me the phone .
I take it off him looking confused . He mouths to me that it's Harry .
S-hello ?
H- hey ! Don't you answer your phone.
S- oh crap it's on silent .. It's been one of those days .
H- haha .. Yea I get that !
S- what's up ?
H- you know it's Zayn's birthday in January and I no it's still 2 months away but Niall and I want to plan a trip away for it .

Zayn enters handing me my glass and I mouth a thank you to him .

I stand up from the floor walking to the kitchen .

S- a boys thingy ?
H- no , all of us the gang like .. We were thinking a trip like we did in mexico because that was sick and I know Zayn loved it . .. but wanted just to run it past you incase you have other plans .. Nothing is planned yet just thought it up today with Niall . If you have other plans we can do it another time .
S- and you needed to get thru to me urgently for this ? Haha
H- actually I did haha . We're trying to work out time off and I have to call back AJ ..
S- well leave the details to me and il get it sorted I want to do this that's a really good plan thou . Let me do this for him . Il plan something really memorable .

"What was that about ?" Zayn asks curiously holding out his arms for me to sit with him . I cuddle up next to him and he hands me my wine .

"It's a surprise " I reply
"For me ? " He asks
"For the both of us .. Well all of us .. Stop asking ... " I reply holding my finger against his mouth .
He smiles against it , kissing it softly .

"Your amazing " he whispers and I smile warmly at him .

"Wana watch silence of the lambs?its brilliant .. It starts now " he asks and shake my head frantically .
"I don't like it , I haven't seen it but I know i won't like it .. Even the add freaks me out " I reply squirming
"Haha .. We can watch something else" he asks.
"No no you watch it .. You had it on your sky reminder so I know you've been dying to watch it . Il refill our drinks and grab that magazine " I reply taking his empty glass from him.

"You sure baby ?" he asks unsure that he should
"Yes please .. Watch your movie . I'm happy just sitting with you doing my thing . Put it on babe " I plead and he does .
He refills the fire while I get drinks .

He's glued to the tv when I return his arm is stretched across the back of the couch . I slide right in next handing him his drink .
"Thanks" he replies eyes still firmly set on the tv .

I watch him watch the movie for a moment . He looks so carefree and young ...
I settle in to reading MXpro .

This is the perfect chill night ....
