Return Of Friends

Over the next few days, Harry and the others grew accustomed to their strange new freedom as they stayed at the Leaky Cauldron. It was especially strange for Harry, who had never been allowed to wake up when he wanted, or eat whatever he liked. He especially grew accustomed to not waking up with a list of chores shoved right in front of his face.

However, this stay at the Leaky Cauldron was especially troublesome for Aang. Knowing that Katara was in one of the rooms, not speaking to him, was a very saddening thought. He sometimes even wished that they were back at the Dursleys, where, even though he was still sad he wasn't seeing her, he didn't have to face the fact that she was walking around those halls.

"Look, twinkle-toes" Toph said, as he brought these feelings to her, Harry, and Zuko. "We're all kind of having the same problems. Katara and Sokka are avoiding us, too, so you're not alone. But, stop complaining or I'll bury you deep in the ground." Toph and Zuko proceeded to walk off, as Harry said "Look, Aang, I know how bad you feel, so my suggestion is going to Katara and asking for forgiveness. If you don't, Toph and Zuko will be kind of upset because they won't talk to them again." Aang nodded, and said "You're right. I'll talk to her soon."

As Toph and Zuko walked through Diagon Alley towards Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor, they spotted several people dressed as Earth Bender's who were heading into Madam Malkin's shop. "New people from our world" said Toph, unenthusiastically. "Yay." "Why are you all upset about it?" Zuko asked. "I just don't like people" said Toph. "Oh yeah, makes sense" Zuko said, putting his head down.

"What's got you so down?" Toph asked. "It's nothing" said Zuko. "I don't know if you forgot" said Toph. "But, I can tell you're lying." Zuko smiled, and said "Mai has been acting weird recently. She's been acting all antsy, and she won't touch me or anything. I'm worried she doesn't love me anymore." Toph sighed, and said "Why does everybody come to me with problems?" "You asked" said Zuko. "But, you didn't have to say anything" said Toph. "I case you didn't realize, I'm not Katara. I'm not good at the whole 'giving advice' thing." Zuko looked away, before Toph said "But, if I were to give advice, I'd say to just try and bring the spark back. You know, be like how you were when you first started, and then maybe, you guys can really flourish, I guess." Zuko smiled, and said "Thanks Toph." Toph smiled, before punching him in the arm, walking off, and saying "Don't tell anyone I gave you advice." Zuko still smiled. Suddenly, the earth sipped beneath him as he fell, and Toph shouted back "STOP SMILING." Zuko rubbed his head, before shaking it.

As Aang and Harry walked through Diagon Alley over the next few days, they saw more and more benders wandering around and buying things for the new year. They came across the Duke one day, and Smellerbee another. Soon, Bao came from out of nowhere as Aang was talking to Smellerbee and Harry. At Bao's side was a boy that looked like a younger Bao, as well as several other boys and girls dressed in earth bending clothes. "Aang, this is my brother, Sanjay, and some of his friends. They were accepted to Hogwarts, too." "That's great" said Aang, as another face came up. It was Haru, with several more benders. "These are some more people that were accepeted to Hogwarts, as well." "Wow" said Harry. "More and more people from your world are coming to Hogwarts. That's crazy." "Yeah" said Aang, as he looked around the Alley. It seemed to be half wizards and witches, as well as benders. It seemed like two worlds truly were colliding.

Over the next few days, Iroh had arrived with more money for the gaang's vault. This meant that they had to start shopping for their third year supplies. As the gaang left Gringotts, Sokka, Katara, and Hakoda appeared. 'Oh, hey guys" said Zuko, with a smile on his face, looking down at them. "Hi" said Hakoda, as he spotted Aang's hopeful, yet sad face. He looked down solemnly, before perking up and saying "Do you guys want to shop together with us? We just had to get gold from the vault, and then we ca", "Dad" Katara interrupted. Hakoda looked down at her, before Sokka spoke up. "We should actually shop together. Actually, Harry I wanted to talk to you about that crazy monster book." "Yeah, Hagrid sent us ours" said Harry. "Are's too" said Sokka, looking down at Katara, who had an angry face. "We have more than enough galleons in this bag" said Iroh. "You guys can come worth us now. If we need more, I'll return to Gringotts." "That sounds excellent" said Hakoda. "We'll follow you."
