Your P.O.V

After Aphmau rested up a bit with Amber and me, we set off for O'Khasis.

About half way there, Amber started walking off in a different direction. "Where are you going?" Aphmau asked.

"I've decided to sneak in! I don't want to risk being kicked out." Amber said before jumping into a tree and vanishing into the leaves of the forest. "So, are we going to ask to come in?" Aphmau asked me. I shrugged. "I guess?" I replied, but it sounded more like a question than an answer.

When we reached the gate, two O'Khasis guards stopped us. "Where do you think you're going?" He asked us. Aphmau looked too shocked to answer so I stepped in front of her. "We were coming to meet someone to establish trade." I said while holding up a pouch of herbs. "We were hoping to trade for some leather." I finished.

The guards scoffed and laughed. "You're a Mief'wa. There's no way I'm letting you in." He said motioning towards Aphmau before drawing his attention to me. "And you're lucky I'm not throwing you out right now just for being associated with her." He finished. I growled and started to move my arm to grab my sword. I felt a hand grab mine and looked over at Aphmau. She shook her head and glared at the men before leading me to another part of the wall.

"They are so lucky you stopped me." I said with anger and a growl in my voice. Aphmau sighed. "We're gonna need to sneak in." She said before looking around.

Her eyes stopped on something, and I looked in the direction she was looking at.

The sewer system. Gross.

"Aw man!" I said before walking over there with Aphmau.

Lucky for us, there was a whole in the grate. Aphmau crawled into the nasty water, and I shuddered before stepping inside the sewer.

"Ewwwwww." I said while trudging through the murky water. "'Ewwww' is right." Aphmau said with disgust.

After a nice little stroll in the contaminated water, we were on the other side of the wall. When we got there, Aphmau pulled the scarf over her ears and stuffed her tail into her pants.

"I'm gonna go look at the plaza, can you check out the docks?" Aphmau said. I nodded and we parted ways.

The docks were a good distance away, and my clothes dried off before I reached the boating yard.

"Hey lass!" Someone called for me. I turned around to see an old man, in his sixties, calling for me. He was missing one of his front teeth, and was clearly a fisherman. I could tell because of the net he was carrying, his overalls, and the smell of the ocean that seemed to follow him.

"Yes sir?" I asked. He pointed at my legs. "You've got some strong lookin' walkers! Mind giving me a hand?" He said while motioning to a ship of weird smelling fish.

I hesitated before nodding and following behind him.

"Mind if I ask you something, sir?" I said. He turned around to face me and gave me a 'what' kind of face. "What kind of fish are those?" I asked. "Oh! I got me some mighty fine salmon over there!" He said with a smile of pride. I nodded and we reached his boat.

"Can you take that net to my little fish selling shop! It's right around the corner, and it's the only one nearby, so you can't miss it!" He said. I nodded and grabbed a large net of salmon. After holding it on my shoulder, I set off to his shop.

I turned the corner, and by golly he was right. There was a small fishing shop next to a large library. There was no way you could miss it.

After fumbling with the doorknob, I made my way inside the dimly lit shop, and set the fish down in a kitchen that was in the back of the shop.

"Thanks ma'am!" I heard the old man's voice say. I turned around and sure enough, he was standing right there, his toothless smile lighting up the room.
