CHAPTER 32
K POV:I don't know how Harry is doing it right now. He's hardly sleeping at all anymore because he's always in the library or the common room working on what to do during the second task. I know he's worried because it's tomorrow and he's still awake in the common room. We're the only two down here right now. I just got back from Madam Pomfrey, half-moon tonight, and he's still sittign at the table reading a book. I walk up next to him and say hi just to see him jump up in surprise.
"Alright there Harry?"
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine."
"Nervous?"
"A bit."
"Want me to tell you something that might help get rid of your nerves?"
"Uh....sure I guess."
"No matter what happens tomorrow, no one will think any less of you. We'll still see you as the scrawny boy who lived no matter what."
I watch as a small smile appears on his tired face as he looks at me. I ruffle his hair before saying goodnight and going back up to my room, where everyone else is already asleep. Everyone except for Hermione, she isn't here. That's odd, she must be with a Professor though because there is no way that she would break the curfew rule. I move Moonlight over on my pillow as I lay down and go to sleep. I hope Harry does well during the second task.
JUST AFTER THE SECOND TASK
K POV:"Thank goodness they both made it."
"Again love, maybe not in front of so many Hogwarts students." (G)
I stick my tongue out a bit at George and Fred who are smirking at me before turning back to hear the judges scores for Harry. They may not be that great since he finished so late, but surely getting Fleur's sister up as well as Ron counts for something. Everyone gets quiet again as Bagman announces the score, talking about how Harry refused to leave until everyone was rescued.
"That stupid little git, he probably could have won if he didn't do that." (F)
"Shhhh!" (Ginny&K)
"Most of the judges, feel that this shows moral fiber and merits full marks. However, Mr.Potter's score is forty-five points." (Bagman)
"He's tied for first with Cedric!" (K)
"Hogwarts is winning!" (F&G)
Ginny and I hug and cheer with the rest of the Gryffindors and most of Hogwarts as we all realize this. I feel George wrap his arms around me and I turn and kiss him once before turning back to the water, watching as Harry smiles a bit and I realize he wasn't planning on winning points that way. He really was concerned about the rest of the hostages down there. Stupid, moral filled, brilliant, idiot.
I walk with Ginny, and the twins back up to the castle, my fingers intertwined with George's. I can tell something is bothering him, has been for a few days, but I can't tell what it is. Certainly not exams, they're too far away and besides that I don't think he actually studies for them that much. We start to walk back up to the Gryffindor common room with everyone but I pull him up a different staircase.
"Kitty, where are we going?"
"Trust me?"
"With my life."
"Good, there's a place somewhere around here. It's private. We need to talk."
"Oh. Ok."
I get to the empty hallway and let go of George's hand before I start pacing in front of the wall. Before I know it I see the door appear and hear George curse under his breath as he gasps. Guess he didn't know everything about the castle like he thought he did. I grab onto his hand again and pull him toward the door and into the room. I look around as I let go of his hand.
