So sitting in a 24/7 diner with your best friend and her boyfriend isn't all that bad.
"Holy shīt, is that Mr Clifford?" Calum says while hiding his cigarette.
I follow his gaze and see the devil himself sit down on a stool, picking up a menu.
"Yes it is." I say.
"We should go say hello." Evie says.
"No, he'll smell the cigarettes on me."
"I'll go." I say eagerly.
Evie looks at me weirdly, then I get up and walk over to Mr Clifford.
"Hi sir."
"Oh, hey May."
"Do you mind?" I ask while pointing to the seat next to him.
"No of course not."
"How are you?"
"I'm okay, you?"
"Just a bit tired..."
"You seemed a bit distracted in class today."
"Really?"
I smirked and watched as he faced down towards the counter.
"Yeah, really."
"I haven't been sleeping well, sorry."
"Are you stressed?"
"And a little bit depressed." I chuckled.
"What's wrong?"
"Not something I wanna be talking about, I think I should get back to my friends, I just came to say hello."
Mr Clifford looked over at Evie and Calum, who were sucking each other's faces off.
"Is that Evie and Calum?"
"Yes sir."
"Could you tell them I said to stop doing innapropriate things in the janitors closet at school? I caught them four times today."
"Yes sir."
"Goodbye May." He does a quick nod and a smile.
"Goodbye Michael."
