5am

I put on my marching band shirt and headed to school. I made sure I had everything.

As soon as I got in the car my phone buzzed.

Dakota:HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL LOVES SEE YOU AT SCHOOL. I HAVE YOUR STARBZ

Mackenzie: thanks girl. See you beauties at school.

Sometimes I wondered how I'm friends with them. I keep waiting for them to put rotten milk in my hair and humiliate me but they don't. They save me from the people who make life hell.

10 minutes later I parked my car in the student parking lot and then headed towards the band room to see them outside with my Starbucks and a sandwich.

"Hey AJ!!" Kenzie rushed and hugged me. "Girl this is our official first day as juniors. Here's breakfast and kick but in the opener in front of the school today. We'll be there cheering. And your booboo will be there." Kenzie tried to cheer me up but it didn't work. He doesn't even look my way.

"Really Kenz" Kota tried to make me feel better.

I saw Dakotas boyfriend Jarvis come behind her. I swear Jarvis is only nice to me because of Dakota. But when he's alone I'm the poor loner.

"Good Morning ladies special lady." He kissed her and by that time I had left for the band room. I walked to some seniors some juniors talking.

"Hey AJ" one of the seniors greeted me.

"What's up guys. Is Jordan here yet because the shirts are in the drum room still." Jordan aka Mr Hotspot who's cool with everyone on campus but smart as ever is our assistant drum major

"Freshman don't get shirts until 6:45." The sax section leader Hannah said while eating. I nodded and sat with them until I had to leave with my section.

"SECTION LEADERS EVERYONE NEEDS SUNGLASSES IF THEY DONT TELL THEM TO COME SEE ME." Our drum major Tiffany said. Tiffany is so lucky not only does she date Reuben Randle but he comes to our competitions and everything. Dating a football player she is so lucky. Plus she's gorgeous.

We were walking out to the front of the school to start cadences. We then got caught in the mix with the football team student government and cheer. I saw Kota arm and arm with Jarvis. She waved at me and I smiled.
She motioned me to come over but the whistle blew and my section walked out first.
Our trumpet section leader is badass so I heard "YOU TWEETYBIRDS MESS UP AND WE DO 50 burpies"

Everyone was getting on their section and mine was laughing.
"AYE PULL SOME DUMB SHIT AND WE RUN ALL PRACTICE" Jordan came behind me and started yelling to.

"Yeah YOU YO DADDYS SON." People started laughing. "Naw but forreal don't make me look bad." He walked away yelling Tiffanys name for something.

We continued to walk until we got to the front. Lining up and playing our cadences until the warning bell we all left and then I headed to AP English lit. I handed my teacher the late pass and he nodded.

"Good luck this year" Mr Deri said to me and I thanked him. I sat behind Jarvis because that was the only seat left. At least I can move it tomorrow.

"Okay guys my name is Mr Deri some of you know me some don't some of you do. I taught some of your siblings"

It's true he taught my brother and sister. Both of them extremely smart and good looking. Then there's me the potato then my other siblings making me the middle. I honestly hate when I get compared to my older siblings. They are legacy here. What on watch happened to me.

Lunch

I was headed toward the band room to eat when I saw my friends walking toward me with their boyfriends. it was the first day so the we usually order pizza and listen to bands.

"Hey girl where are you going" Dakota and Kenzie stopped me.

Noooo just agh I'm going alone

"I have to pick up something I'll meet you guys okay" I tried to convince them but they pulled me toward them. 

Kota shook her head and tried to pull me with them. I don't eat with them because it's embarrassing and I don't belong.

"Let me go I just want to be alone" I sighed. I then mentally groaned at Victor Cruz coming our way.

"Babe just let her be just doesn't want to and I wouldn't either I completely understand Adam" Victor said. I hate him along with Jarvis. They are so fake.

"It's Adrienne" Kenzie interrupted

"Yeah sure whatever but no one would ever sit with the band dwarfs." Victor spat out.

"See what you did. You're such an ass." I heard Kenzie tell him. I wasn't hurt or anything I was used to it. I just turned around and left. I don't care about him I honestly just wanted to be in the band room. I walked in and everyone was eating pizza. I passed by Tiffany and her boyfriend Rueben.

"Hey Adrienne. How was summer?" Tiffany asked me.

"Pretty good a lot of babysitting but I got paid. Like big money. How about you?"

"Good" She replied with a smile.
"Hey my band girlfriend named Adrienne" Rueben poked my stomach.

He started calling me that my freshman year when he said he need two girlfriends because he felt the need to have it. Tiffany doesn't mind because she knows who I really want but can't have.

"Hi Rueben" I smiled. When I say Reuben is the only one I like that's the only one well besides my hubby from afar but he's the only one. He knows about my friends and stuff.

My phone vibrated in the middle of watching last years band championship.

Kenzie-me and Kota are coming to the band to eat lunch with you. Eff our boyfriends.

I groaned. I love them to death but I don't  think they understand me sometimes.
I hoped for a long time that things would change but they wouldn't.
