The mountain was so much bigger up close. Far away it looked like a decent sized mountain, until you got closer. I wouldn't be surprised if this mountain rivaled Mount Everest.
"It's called mountain of the gods." Greer informed me.
The fog was getting thinker so we decided to travel on foot. The trees twisted and turned in odd angles, making it look like something form a horror movie. Why did I think this was a good idea?
"Not getting scared are we?" Greer teased. I rolled my eyes at him, but all he did was smirk.
I heard something behind me. I turned around only to see something fade away out of my peripheral vision. I stepped closer to Greer.
There were yellow eyes glaring at me from the fog, but as soon as I focused on them, they slipped away.
"Ogres?" I asked Greer. He protectively put his arms around me.
"Worse." He grabbed my hand and tried to fly away with me, but ended up falling to the ground.
I tried summoning Anguish.
I...I can't. Something is blocking me.
The child like wolf voice echoed in my head.
"What is this?" I was panicking now. There were hoots and odd whispers coming from the fog.
"Remember the land of nightmares I was telling you about. They're spilling over. They have been for years. Why didn't I think that they would have taken this land. We have to get out of here before-" Something stepped through the fog.
"Mom? Dad?" My eyes widened in horror as I saw my parents step out of the fog.
"Wake up you impotent girl." Mother said in her harsh voice.
"Always living in your head. What a disgusting excuse for a daughter." Dads eyes were disapproving as always. I began to panic.
Greer grabbed my hand and we ran. I was running so fast my head began to spin. I felt like my body was being zapped. All these sensations, it was hard to focus.
Suddenly, Greer was being separated from me. The person before me was a faceless woman with nurses clothing on. Greer called my name as the lady threw him to another faceless nurse. I was shaking so badly my legs refused to move.
"Ever." They lady said soothingly. Which made it all the more terrifying.
She walked towards me with her hand outstretched.
"Don't let them touch you!" Greer said before his mouth was covered. I went to avoid this lady's touch, only to find myself surrounded.
That same electrocuting feeling ran through me, causing me to fall to the ground.
I was screaming at this point. They were closing in, all of their hands outstretched towards me. Greer was struggling to get free.
One of their hands touched me. And once it did, the feeling of being electrocuted got worse. I closed my eyes as hard as I could to try to will the pain away. I noticed there was now something in my mouth, something to bite on. I was now strapped down, unable to move. I opened my eyes to a bright light hanging above me.
The feeling stopped. The light was turned off and another one was placed into my eyes separately. Like a doctor would do with those miniature flashlights. There was talking. Some of it was just murmurs.
"Ever? Ever? Are you there." I tried to talk, but there was something in my mouth.
The thing was removed and I instantly threw up. But, since I was strapped down, I ended up throwing up all over my self.
"Where am I?" I rasped out.
Once the spots from my vision had cleared, I saw I was surrounded by people.
They loosened my restraints and I was able to sit up. I took a towel from one of the people and saw they were the nurses. They weren't faceless, but they had the exact clothing on.
I jumped away from them and threw the towel at them. I tried to get a way, but they were quick and grabbed me.
Greer? Greer are you there? Silence.
"What have you done to Greer?!" I struggled in the nurses arms.
"Ever?" An unfamiliar voice said my name. I looked at the person. "You've come back. It worked." The man said.
"What?" I was confused. I was in pain. And, I was covered in throw up.
"You've been in some day dream like state for some time now. We believe it was you finding comfort in your own subconscious. But what ever dream world you were in, you're back now." The man smiled kindly at me. I didn't understand. Dream world? My heart sunk. I felt my face fall.
"It was all...a dream?" My could feel my heart shatter.
"Less of a dream, and more like a submersion on your own mind. You may have gone, but we brought you back." The man said with a smile.
"You're lying. Greer will come back for me." I whispered.
"Yes, this Greer. I'm afraid Greer isn't real child, just a figment of your-"
"No! Don't lie to me send me back. Send me back now!" I was hysterical. He had to be lying. He just had to be.

In my cell like room I picked at all the bandages on my arm. They had stuck a lot of needles in me. And now my arms were sore. I checked my side for the Kings mark, but found it was smooth and untouched.I looked around the room an saw permanent stains in the floor. The bed was raised about half a foot so it looked more like a cot than a bed. The windows were barred too. I've read enough books to know I was in a mental hospital.
