~~~~CHAPTER 27~~~~
Internet Theories~~~~
~~~~Brian's Point of View~~~~

"What're we gonna do Matt?" I asked quietly as we sat there on the sofa, everyone else out in the kitchen.

Jimmy had given up about an hour ago, deciding that he needed something to eat, which had resulted with everyone but myself and Matt heading out to the kitchen.

Matt shrugged, sitting on an angle and leaning back into the sofa; he looked tired and worn down.

"I dunno Brian," he sighed, putting his arm over his face as he spoke. "I'm too tired to think and I just want this shit ended; mom and dad aren't gonna be real pleased to see the sliding door cracked again."

I gave a nod and Matt removed his arm from his face, looking to me as he thought. I just looked back at him as he decided on what to say.

"How's the hand?" he asked, making me shrug, leaning back as I heard my phone start ringing.

"Hurts," I stated truthfully. I sighed, ignoring my phone for the time being. "I mean, I know it's not Jimmy's fault it happened, but in a way he's kinda responsible."

Mat shrugged. "We're all responsible for not getting rid of this ghost soon enough."

I shrugged this time, grabbing my phone from my pocket as it continued to ring, checking the caller ID.

"Shit," I muttered as I answer the phone. "Hello?"

"Brian, where are you?" dad asked from the other end of the line; he sounded irritated and I knew why. "You said you'd be home the normal time; it's nearly seven!"

"Shit, sorry dad; got caught up," I said, getting up off the sofa, Matt watching me the entire time. I shrugged at him. "I'll head back now."

"Well don't take too long; everyone's here already and your aunt's been asking about where you are!"

"Alright, I'll be right home," I sighed, knowing I was in trouble now. I hung up, putting my phone in my pocket and looking to Matt. "I've seriously gotta get home; sorry Matt."

"All good; I'll walk you back," he said, pushing himself off the sofa and to his feet. "I'll just let everyone know you're headed out."

I gave a brief nod, Matt disappearing out to the kitchen to find the others and let them know what was going on. I stood over near the door, hearing Jimmy say something to Matt. A few seconds later, Matt appeared, coming over to where I was standing and indicating to head out.

I opened the door, going out with Matt in tow.

"Sorry Matt; I forgot that I needed to be home early-ish today," I sighed as we walked. "Dad's not real happy with me right now since I kinda forgot..."

Matt nodded in understanding, the streetlights coming on as we walked, turning down my street a few over from Matt's place.

"It's fine Brian," he said as we walked to my house, coming to a halt out front. "We'll just figure something out when I get back home; everyone else's still there, so they can help input something."

I gave a nod, opening the door and going inside. Matt followed, closing the door after himself; I halted and looked to him.

"You think there's even anything we can do?" I asked, keeping my voice down as I heard everyone in the dining room, probably sitting around the dinner table, and by now I'd probably missed dinner. "I mean, we found nothing out at The House, so what else is there to do?"
