Kendall had saw the news, grabbed her handbag and drove to the hospital. She rushed in and demanded to see Kalani. The receptionist was rude and said no to her, but Kendall was not taking no for an answer, which ended up causing a scene."I demand to see her!" She screamed. The receptionist looked like she had a headache and wanted to be anywhere but here with a dramatic teenage girl. "I told you, immediate family only. Come back in a week and I'll let you see her. Next!" She said.
Kendall didn't move and was furious. "Do you know who I am?" She screeched. "An overly dramatic and annoying teenage girl?" The receptionist rolled her eyes. "No!" Kendall screamed. "My name is Kendall K Vertes! My father owns all of the hospitals in the district and I demand to see my friend!" She screamed.
The receptionists eyes widened as that was her boss. "Oh I'm so sorry ma'am, she's in room C54," she said as Kendall smiled with satisfaction. That's more like it! She thought. Thank you daddy!
She then strutted down the hospital trying to find the room. Poor Kalani, she thought. I heard she was going to the ball with Brandon. So unless she can be cured by next week, she can't go. Kendall didn't really mind Kalani, minus the ugly outfits and no makeup, she was ok. But, she was no Paige. No one was. Paige had been murdered because of her, and Kendall wished that it had been her instead. Paige knew something was wrong and Kendall said nothing.
Kendall got lost in her thoughts as she finally found Kalani's room. It was shared with three other people, two of them were awake. Kendall sympathetically smiled at them as she walked past to Kalani.
She had multiple tubes coming out and she was hooked up to many machines. Kalani Hilliker. Release date: there was no release date. Kendall had brought a hairbrush and some makeup so she wouldn't have to look so... sick.
She first brushed Kalani's long, brown hair and then moved onto makeup. She put on a little bit of concealer on her bruises and some pimples. She then put on a light pink lip gloss and left it at that.
"What do you think you're doing young lady?" A nurse demanded. Kendall's eyes widened then she calmed down. She was Kendall K Vertes, everyone must listen to her. "I'm doing her makeup and hair." She said calmly. "We'll take it off! The doctors need to see her bruises as they need to see if they've gotten bigger or smaller and such!" She exclaimed finding makeup wipes in Kendall's make up bag.
"Don't you know who I am? I'm Kendall-" the nurse interrupted, taking Kalani's makeup off. "I don't care who you are, little girl. You're just an armature and you need to respect your parents and other adults. Get out!" She screeched. Kendall sulkily grabbed her purse and makeup pouch before walking out.
As she was driving, she was furious about how the nurse had treated her. You need to respect your parents and other adults. Seriously. She rolled her eyes as she passed the school. Her thoughts wandered to her dress and how she was doing her hair for the ball. She sighed dreamily as she thought about Josh. Her dress had a sweetheart neckline with diamonties up the top and long, flowy and pink. Her hair would be simply down and curled. And well, Josh was going to be there. She sighed.
In no time she was back home to her parents fighting. "Of course I've payed the bills! I'm the only one who fricking does!" Her dad screamed. "Well where were you on Friday night? Our daughter is having her first high school ball and you're not even going to be there!" Her mum screamed back.
Kendall held back tears and quickly ran up the stairs into her room. "Josh?" He was standing at her window looking out, smiling. He noticed Kendall and gave a grin. "Hey, Kendall! I know the Gala is in a week, but I wanted to give you your corsage," he said handing it to her. The centre of the flowers was a light pink, like her dress, and then it travelled to a white.
She smiled gratefully at him, then heard more yelling from her parents. "Sorry, they've been fighting a lot. There probably gonna get a divorce," she smiled sadly. He gave her a hug and she sniffed in his scent.
"I'm sorry to hear that, Kendall. But I've gotta go, my cousins are over and I snuck out to see you." Kendall felt special that a boy snuck out to see her. "Bye," he said kissing her cheek to hen jumping onto the big oak tree near her window and travelling down to her driveway.
He waited until he was out of sight then motioned for the figure to go in. They nodded and jumped up the tree and went into Kendall's room. "Kendall, dear, I really hope you know that teenage love doesn't last and that you should just give up." The figure said.
Kendall spun around in shock, but she knew they were only here because her parents couldn't hear them. "What do you want?" She rolled her eyes. "I'm here to give you your word count. And just saying, it's horrible!" Kendall sucked in a deep breath.
"So I thought that I'd tell you what's going to happen; you're going to die. I'm going to use a weapon and you're going to die, right when you're going to have your first kiss or whatever." Kendall was scared as she knew that they were serious.
Kendall's phone beeped and she checked it.
C- Kalani's parents told my mum that she's awake. She will be able to leave before the dance.
It's probably because of the makeup wipes! Kendall thought smiling. Kendall felt breathing on her neck on saw the figure reading the message. "Perfect!" They said. "Now all of them can see you die!" Kendall rolled her eyes as the figure said goodbye and left. She spotted a piece of paper and picked it up.
3 words, then you're gone. Use them wisely as you know, they're the last words you'll ever say!
Kendall imagined the figure laughing at their joke. But she was almost in tears as she quickly sent a picture to the group and texted:
Kk: I have three words guys, I'm gone for.
C- We all need to stick together then, so that the figure can't kill you when we're around.
M- Great idea, Chlo! Let's even go to the bathroom together and even when Kendall gets Gala queen, we'll all go up!Kendall rolled her eyes at Maddie's sarcastic ways. Then she realised that these were the last friends she'd have, ever. And that scared the sh*t out of her.
{ Hey guys! Next four chapters are the dance! Comment what colour dresses you want the other girls to wear!}
