"Alright, girls. Trainings over! Go get ready for Gala!" All the girls squealed as they ran to get home as soon as possible. But Chloe simply rolled her eyes and helped Coach pack away the soccer balls.
"Why aren't you getting ready?" She asked as Chloe passed her a soccer ball. "I don't have a date, and I'm only going because my friend really wants me to," she said shrugging her shoulders.
The real reason she wasn't going was because of Kendall, but she was also going to be supportive. The coach finished packing up and told Chloe to scram. Checking the time, she ran into the parking lot and found a note on her mirror.

Chloe arrived home and had a hour to get ready. She frantically found her dress, shoes and hairbrush and started getting ready. Her moron dress was strapless with a nice, cool material. Her shoes were black high heels to give her some height and her hair was in a messy bun.
She grabbed her purse and put her phone, the note, a lipgloss and Maddie's ticket that she asked Chloe to bring, then ran out the door without a goodbye to her dad. Her mum had been going out lately at night and not coming back until twelve hours later. Chloe had a suspicion that she was cheating but she didn't want to say anything.
So she hopped into her car and drove back to school. Her thoughts wondered to the threat; who would do such a thing? And how did they track every word she said? She also thought about Maddie, Kalani and Kendall.
Ever since she found out about Nia, after telling the girls Maddie surprisingly was the first one to reach out. She told Chloe that she could ask for anything and that she was always there. Maddie was now considered Chloe's best friend.
But Kalani on the other hand... She was too uptight. She was nice but she just didn't cut it. And Kendall was overconfident and only cared about her own problems and Chloe wanted something in between. That's what Nia was, she was perfect. Was.
She shook it off as she reached the school. She noticed a spot out the front and quickly
parked. She saw a group of kids and quickly scrambled over. "Go Maddie!" She heard them chanting.
Pushing her way through the crowd, she saw Maddie punch Brandon in the nose. It was applaudable so Chloe clapped and screamed like a mad man. The entertainment was over as soon as Miss Miller walked by.
Chloe ran to Maddie and gave her the ticket, not bothering to ask about what had just happened. She smiled gratefully as they made their way inside. Chloe loved the decorations, it just seemed fitting. "Chloe!" Someone waved. Chloe ran over to talk to them about the game she played last Friday before realising she had left Maddie. "See you round, Kay?" She said walking back to Maddie.
"Sorry, but I am famous so I need to talk to my fans!" She said pretending to flick her hair making Maddie and Chloe laugh. "Right, we need to find Kalani so when Kendall arrives we're together," Maddie explained. Chloe nodded as they set out to find Kalani.
Chloe doesn't know how or why but somehow Maddie ended up onstage shooting silly string. Then everyone turned to look at who was entering.
Kendall K Vertes.
Perfect, Chloe thought. She waited until she made her 'grand entrance' then tried to get to her. Tried. "Sorry! Excuse me! Pardon me!" She muttered walking through a crowd of people.
She ended up falling over with Kalani on top of her. "Hey! We were actually just looking for you!" Chloe said helping her up. Kalani nodded back and told her about the whole punch up thing.
Maddie met up with them and soon the three of them were making their way towards Kendall. "Excuse me, Kendall, may we speak with you?" Kalani asked as Josh gave them an unnoticed glare. Kendall gave a big nod as they walked away from the crowd of people.
"So, I brought you a notebook and a pen so when you're around us you can use it!" Kalani said handing her a blue notebook and pen. Kendall smiled gratefully as she looked outside. Can we go to the courtyard? She wrote as they nodded and walked outside.
"Ok, I have a theory," Maddie whispered. They all leaned in to hear her. "If we find out who it is tonight, then we can stop them and you won't get killed!" She finished. Kendall drew in a sharp breath as if she was on the verge of tears. Go Maddie, Chloe thought sarcastically. You were always one with emotions. Kalani thought for a second before telling Kendall to rip out a page in her book.

Chloe grimaced at the last one. "So, this is all we have?" Chloe said. Sadly, after the accident, Kalani had forgotten who she thought it was, and that entire day for that matter. They all thought for a moment before Chloe realised that she had already had another clue. She pulled out the note from earlier and told them that anyone with swirly n's is the threatener.
"Good job! Now, we need to stick close guys, everyone chose a partner!" Kalani said giving the page to Kendall. "Maddie!" Chloe said immediately. Kendall sighed as Maddie nodded vigorously. "Alright, have a good night everyone! Stick close and Kendall, don't let anyone speak to you alone. Even Josh," Kalani whispered ending their meeting.
They all scurried inside as Chloe raised an eyebrow at Maddie. "So, Maddie. Would you like to try the fruit kebabs or the cupcakes first?" She said in a fake French accent. "Well the cupcakes look splendid tonight!" Maddie replied in the accent.
They both started laughing as they grabbed a blue cupcake and demolished it. Chloe went for seconds and before she bit in, she noticed something strange on the wrapper. "Mads, look at this!" Chloe exclaimed as Maddie peered over her shoulder.
The wrapping had characters with speech bubbles saying that these cupcakes were the best and such. But one of them had a mask and said; "I love these cupcakes when I'm doing my... Job." Chloe turned to Maddie and they both gave each other a worried glance.
Kendall was gone for. There was no stopping this person.
