Chloe was standing in the lounge room with her hands crossed over her chest like a three year old. Despite all of Chloe's protests, she was still forced to go to school. I mean, you'd think her dad would take it easy on her after what had just happened the day before. But no!She had told her dad about Maddie and her just shook his head. "Such a tragedy, she's so young." Chloe didn't get any sleep as the image of Maddie dead body was permanently glued in her mind. So that was part of the reason she wanted to stay home, the other was because it was school. And school sucks.
"But daaad!" She whined. "No Chloe, I cannot let you stay home today. You need a good education and you're not going to get that by sitting at home moping around like a zombie!" He said sternly like any parent would.
"But dad! Don't you realise that-" Clara came down the stairs and interrupted Chloe. "Daddy I feel very very hot and I can't see you very well!" Clara yelled as Chloe looked at her- unusually- pale sister. Her dad laid Clara down on the lounge. "Chloe, Clara is going to faint. Please go get some water." He said flustered as he stroked Clara's hair.
Chloe did as she was told and raced back to the lounge room spilling a few drops of water as she went. Clara gratefully gulped down the water and said she felt a bit better. When Clara said the feeling was gone, Chloe and her dad walked into the kitchen were Clara wouldn't be able to hear them.
"Chloe, you have to go to school as I have to sort out the divorce papers and I would like it if you weren't here for that." He said with a single tear flowing from his eyes. "And speaking of your mother, she wants you to go to he- I mean, Mr.Vertes house after school." Chloe then slowly nodded as she understood then ran upstairs to get ready. She decided on a black tank top and shorts as it was a warmer day. She brushed her hair into a ponytail and grabbed her bag.
She was grabbing her books for her bag when she noticed something. A note. Chloe always keeps her bag near her nightstand, so she came to a conclusion that she knocked it off her nightstand and onto her bag.
I haven't talked to you in ages! How ya been? Anyway...
216 words, then you're gone. And I case you didn't notice, I lied about the deal not working. So consider yourself lucky! Oh and by the way, the police are onto you so get a good case! ByeeChloe was fuming. How could they! Chloe knew what she had to do. She was going to call Kalani and they were going to met up at the police station after school and talk to the imposters. Then maybe, just maybe, this might all be over.

Chloe arrived at school and went to her locker. She opened it up and grabbed her textbooks then went to her first class which was English and sat up the back. She was emotionally drained and didn't want to learn about Pronouns and more boring punctuation. The only thing she cared about was sport as she wanted to compete in the olympics when she became older.
So, she grabbed out her phone and shuffled her playlist on Spotify. She put her earphones in and relaxed. She took deep breaths, had clear thoughts and was able to think straight. Music for Chloe was very important. Without it, she couldn't relax, unwind or be herself.
Chloe started humming along to gasoline by Halsey when she started sneezing like mad. She went to grab some tissues when she saw all of her notes. She picked them up and shuffled them all. She looked at all the details as she hummed along to the song.
1000 words, then you're gone.
589 words, then you're gone. Don't kill anymore people, sneaky Chloe;)
I didn't give you a word count so I figured I'd do it at the dance. You'll never catch me, never!
She stopped when she noticed something. Her song had stopped and someone screaming replaced it. "She's dead! Now who next?" A voiceover said. Chloe desperately searched her playlist and now playing but couldn't find it for the life of her.
"Chloe Lukasiak! Are you listening to music? Take your earphones out and you can visits me at lunch." Chloe sunk down in her chair in embarrassment. F*ck my life.

Chloe was walking home from school after getting out of detention on a warning. Thank goodness! She had thought. She was so distracted in her thoughts and embarrassment that she didn't even see the football in the middle of the walkway. "Ah!" She gave a short scream, but brushed herself off and got back up. "What the?" She mumbled as she saw what she had tripped on. A football? She thought confused.
She continued her walk home when she stumbled again. This time on a ping-pong ball. "Is this some kind of sick prank?" She yelled out. Other pedestrians looked at her funny and continued on with their journey. Ugh! You suck at football anyway, Chloe. And I bet you've never even picked up a ping-pong racket in your life! That's how much you suck at sport. And life. Chloe's eyes widened.
The voice had been talking more and more and she didn't know how to make it stop. She wanted to scream, pray, bang her head against the wall or do them all. She knew she needed help, but what can you say? 'Oh, hi! My name is Chloe Lukasiak and I have a negative voice in my head! Woohoo!' I mean, cmon!
As she kept walking, she noticed more and more sport balls in her path. She followed the trail as she thought that something important might come out of it. As she was following the trail, she completely missed the turnoff to her mothers place. As she kept walking, she found herself in the woods were she found Maddie's body. Sure enough, she spotted the shack and saw a basketball in front of the door.
As she went to open the door, she saw a note.
Meet me here again at twelve pm tomorrow. No one can see us.
- Taylor NunezChloe was confused, why would the schools most popular girl leave a note in the middle of the woods asking someone to meet her? Chloe picked up the note and shoved it in her pocket. She took a deep breath as she entered the little shack.
She screamed when she saw what was contained inside.
{ you won't find out what it is for a couple more chapters xx }
