Kendall walked down the stairs, waiting for everyone to gasp. "Wow!" They muttered. "Is that Kendall? With Josh?" Someone exclaimed. "I always knew they were the perfect couple!"

Kendall tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and shyly took Josh's hand. Immediately, she was overtaken by a crowd of people, commenting about her dress, her hair; which she just braided her bangs back and her makeup.

She smiled politely at everyone's comments and acted confident, but on the inside, she was trembling with fear as anyone could kill her tonight. She had already planned how she was going to use her last words, the others wouldn't approve but she wanted to do at least one thing her way.

"Kendall! Can we talk to you for a second?" She had longed to hear those words from Chloe and nodded vigorously. They all walked to a more private area as Kalani pulled out a blue notebook and Kendall asked if they could go to the courtyard.

They had a 'meeting' then went their own separate ways. Chloe and Maddie went together and Kalani rolled her eyes as she walked over to her table. Maybe one day, another life even,  they could've been friends, Kendall was regretting all of the things she could've done that night as she wished she would be able to do so much more in life. She could've excelled in her studies, gotten a great job and meet an awesome husband someday.

But now, it was all taken away with a swish of some ink on some paper.

"Kendall!" Josh yelled as she joined the dance floor. An upbeat song was playing and Josh squeezed Kendall's arm. We could've had a future together, she thought sadly. He's going to be heartbroken.

"You know, Kendall. I can't even hear myself think! Let's go outside!" He yelled. He grabbed her hand in a marriage hold. Kendall debated weather or not to trust him, as Kalani had said not to talk to anyone alone, even Josh. But somehow she was already standing outside. Curse his darn good looks!

Kendall stood in the courtyard as Josh typed up something on his phone and then a slow song started to play. He rested it on a table as they moved into a waltz position. Kendall looked down as they slid effortlessly around the courtyard. They continued the box step as Kendall's mind spun. We could've been so much more! She screamed in her head. Trying not to cry, she decided to look up as she wanted to savour the moment.

He was looking at her, with a look on his face Kendall had never seen. Then she realised; it was the look of love. No one had ever looked at her that way before, not any of her boyfriends. They just wanted her for popularity and her looks, of course.

She knew what was coming next so she looked down again and felt him softly lift her chin up. She looked into his beautiful blue eyes and then closed her own. They leaned in and-

"Oh Kendall. You really are so stupid," he said removing his hand from her chin sharply. She opened her eyes and held her neck from the pain and looked up into his eyes. He looked at her scornfully, the look of- so called love- had been removed.

She didn't know what hurt more: her crush/ boyfriend was threatening her and he had faked the look of love that nobody had ever given her.

Her eyes grew in shock as she realised she should've listened, that she knew Josh was the killer, but she had pushed it to the back of her mind. She didn't want to believe it, she couldn't ever think it was. Her anxiety was getting the best of her and luckily her reflexes kicked in as she bolted for the door to the hall.

But Josh grabbed her from behind and put on a strip of duck tape over her mouth. He was dragging her away, her screams muffled by the sound of music and her classmates laughing and celebrating. Little did they know, it was the last time they'd ever see her. She felt silent tears roll down her cheeks as she was being dragged away to God knows where.
