Kalani woke up on Thursday with sleep stuck in her eyes. She threw her sleeping mask off and it landed in the big mess of her room. She had been exhausted after staying up the entire night and finding Maddie's body. All she wanted was a good nights sleep and for the Word Squad to just vanish into thin air.

Kalani reached over onto her overcrowded night stand and grabbed her phone. She only had snapchat and Twitter as her parents said the other social media sites are judgemental. So Kalani checked her feeds which had nothing in them. She rolled her eyes and got up. She passed herself in the mirror and jumped. "Holy cow!" She whispered.

She grabbed her hairbrush and squealed when it ripped out her scalp. She finally had brushed it all and had twisted her bangs back and clipped it with a big black bow. She then put on a white halter neck crop top and black leggings. She tied her converse and ran downstairs.

Her mothers eyes widened when she saw her daughter in a 'skimpy' outfit. "Go change." Her father said as he sipped his coffee. Kalani still went and at sat next to her dad and started eating her breakfast. She chomped on her toast and skulled her orange juice. Kalani then ran back upstairs to pack and clean her teeth.

"Bye." She said. As soon as she was going to close the door her dad motioned for her to come back. "Yes?" She said. "What's with the outfit?" He asked. Kalani rolled her eyes. "I have someone threatening me and you're asking me to change? I'm going to die and this is the only thing you care about? Well you know what? I'm going to live like I'm dying tomorrow because you know what? I might be." And with that, she slammed the door shut and ran to the bus-stop.

"Aren't you a little miss sassy pants?" Chloe laughed. Kalani had vented to Chloe and Chloe thought it was funny how she was overreacting. "But seriously! I've never been in a fight with my parents. What do I do?" Kalani pleaded.

Chloe thought for a moment then tears brimmed her eyes. "I have to go." She ran as fast as lightning to the bathrooms. Way to go Kalani! You asked the girl who's parents just got a divorce for advice on how to make them happy! Aren't you just so smart? Kalani rolled her eyes.

The bell rung and Kalani raced into her class. She looked at her regular seat and decided to sit up the back. Her teacher looked at her cautiously then shrugged it off. She was writing the class's task on the board as more students filed in. "Good morning!" She cheerfully said. "Good morning miss!" The class repeated back.

Taylor came up to Kalani with her hands on her hips and an eyebrow raised. "Where do you think you're sitting?" She sassed. Kalani despised Taylor and decided to stand up to her. "I'm sitting in a seat up the back as I want a break from being the good girl. Happy?" Kalani replied. Taylor was stunned. "No I'm not happy! You're sitting in my seat!"

Kalani shrugged her shoulders and started working. Taylor screamed as she went and sat in Kalani's seat. One person started to applaud, then another, and another until the whole class was applauding. Kalani looked around and saw they were all looking at her. She took the opportunity to stand up and bow.

Everyone applauded heavier as she went to sit down. Well, isn't this a good class?

The last bell rung and Kalani stayed behind. A bunch of people wanted to talk to her about her stand up to Taylor. "It's just a seat. I think she overreacted," She shrugged her shoulders. She walked over to the bus stop and saw a familiar face who caught her bus step into it. Kalani ran over but the doors closed on her. "No!" She screamed.

I have to walk home! The inner rich girl in her groaned as it was 'so far.' She started on her walk and somewhere down the line, she took a wrong turn as she thought she saw a familiar tree. Yeah, it was familiar. From when she went to Maddie's house.

As she continued on, she came to Maddie's house. Maybe Melissa could drive me home? She thought desperately. She walked down the short driveway and knocked on the door. "Stay the f*ck away from me!" A dry voice yelled.

Kalani then backed away and ran. She ran all the to the same woods with the wooden shed. She noticed a piece of rubbish and Kalani, knowing about littering and how bad it was, picked it up. As she picked it up, she realised that it was a folded piece of paper. It had been folded continuously and Kalani raised an eyebrow when she was up to the seventh time.

She untied it and saw her word count.

Hey! Jks I don't care
69 words, then you're gone.
Wow. What luck! 69 am I right? Ahaha!
I hope to see you soon!

Kalani rolled her eyes at the childish behaviour. But, she was pretty proud. 69 on the dot? Really? She shook it off and thought some more. Wait a minute, how did they know that I was going to be here and find the note? She bit her lip and looked around to try and spot someone. She heard a rustling and ran towards it.

More rustling came and Kalani realised that someone was running on top of leaves. A wild chase occurred, Kalani sometimes overtaking and then the masked figure would hid into the trees and go a different path. Or even Kalani not keeping up and realising they went a different way.

But finally, she caught up. Finally, she ripped the stupid mask off the figure. Her head swirled, her heart pounded and her brain was only telling her: no! Her eyes widened and tears brimmed the edges. "Why?" She screamed going down on her knees. The person bit the lip and ran their fingers through their hair.

"Guess who's back?"
