Chloe Lukasiak held the note in her hand as she sat up stiff straight in her bed. Her eyes were wide and she looked like she'd seen a ghost. Maybe she had. Nobody knows about that. I never told anyone that, not even Nia. Chloe thought staying in that same position.

Nia Fraizer was Chloe's best friend. They'd known each other since they were young because of their parents. There was a big rough patch in year seven because something about Nia changed in Chloe's eyes. And to this day she still doesn't know what.

Nelly came into Chloe's room very quietly but jumped when she saw her. "Oh my! Chloe dear, are you alright?" Nelly noticed the note and gently took it out of her hand. By this time Christi woke up and went into panic mode when she saw her daughter.

Nelly's eyes grew as she read the note. "I'll make sure that the hospital enforces more security in this area," that was all she said. She gave Chloe her medicine and walked out.

She looked both sides before slowly making her way to the next patient. This has to be a joke, she thought. There is no way that the other girl actually could do this.

A week later, Chloe was leaving the hospital. They told her that the pain from her stomach was caused by a stomach ulcer. Her symptoms matched and she was quite sick. "The only thing we can do is to give her some antibiotics. But, this means no school for three days," the doctor said to Christi.

"Listen, Chloe is a true athlete so as a mother, I was just wondering if this will affect her sporting career?" She asked deeply concerned. The doctor and Christi looked at sleeping Chloe from the corridor. "She won't be able to play until it's gone and maybe even a few weeks after," he said with a sad smile. Christi continued to look at Chloe. "She's gonna be mad, but it's for the better," she sighed.

Chloe said goodbye to Nelly and some of the other nurses as she left the hospital. Christi loaded the car then started the long drive to the hospital. Chloe's eyes fluttered open and closed before she finally fell asleep.

Jaycee Wilkins strutted down Pittsburgh high schools halls with her two best friends, Chloe East and Taylor Nunez. They were your mean girls; your classic popular girls. They all have boyfriends, wear all the latest trends and tease the nerds. Go figure.

The girls walked past Chloe who was standing at her looking looking for her schedule. "Well well well if it isn't Chloe," Taylor said. "I don't do comebacks and even I know that was bad," Chloe rolled her eyes and turned back to her locker.

"Don't insult my friends, b***h!" Jaycee said. And with the flick of their hair, the trio walked over to the nerds. Chloe found her schedule and watched Jaycee taunt the nerds in disgust.

"Hey! Give my book back! I need it to study!" A nerd named Kendall said trying to grab her book from Chloe East. Jaycee leant forward and whispered something into Kendall's ear and her eyes grew. "O-on second thought I-um can borrow..." Kendall muttered. Chloe East dropped the book and strutted off with her two best friends.

"Hey Chloe!" Nia jogged over to Chloe. "Hey Nia," Chloe said slamming her locker shut. "You ok? You seem kinda angry," Nia gestured to her locker. "It just sickens me how Jaycee and the other two treat them!" Nia nodded in agreement. "Why don't you do something about it? Stick up for them or something?" Chloe's evil mind came up with a viscous idea. "Yeah. I'll think of something,"

Chloe woke with a jump and she took deep breaths. "Chloe! Chloe, are ok? Is your stomach hurting? What's wrong?" Christi screamed. "I had a nightmare." Chloe said quietly. "What?" Christi said turning down the stereo. "I said I had a nightmare," Chloe said frustrated.

"What about?" Christi asked worriedly. "You know, your classic kidnapped nightmare," she said before putting in her earphones. Oh Mrs potato tell me, is it true that pain is beauty? Chloe hummed along to the song and tapped her fingers to the beat.

"We're home!" Christi said softly pulling into their driveway. Chloe turned her phone off and stumbled out of the car. "Chloe! Chloe's home!" Clara ran into Chloe's arms and she winced in pain. "Clara honey, you need to be a little bit more gentle with Chloe now," Christi smiled. "Sorry mamma," Clara said running into Christi's arms.

Chloe ran up the stairs then collapsed onto her bed. "Now Chloe, you need to apply your cream to your stomach because you want it to go away, don't you? And your soccer tournament is in two weeks so you need to be well and practise." Chloe nodded as Christi walked out of Chloe's room.

Chloe checked that Clara wasn't in her room and shut the door. She pulled out the threat and stared.

"Where are you taking me?" Jaycee said. "Put me down!" Chloe had Jaycee over her shoulders like a sack of potatoes. "After all you've done you don't deserve to be put down," Chloe said through gritted teeth.

Shuddering at the memory, Chloe put the cream where her ulcer was.

"Look, I'm sorry ok? Now can you put me down?" Chloe rolled her eyes at the stupid girl.

She then put the cream back in her drawer. Thump! Chloe yelped as she saw a figure in all black clothing splattered on her carpet. A robotic voice filled her room as the figure stood up. "Greetings, Chloe!" The voice said.

"Chloe! Who are you talking to?" The figure put a finger to their lips. A more quieter voice said to make up a cover story. She heard Christi approaching and quickly said, "I'm talking to Nia!" Christi said to say hi to her parents and left it at that.

"Ah Chloe, you've always been the sneaky one," Chloe glared. "What do you mean? Are you threatening more people?" Chloe rolled her eyes. "Actually, yes, yes I am. I'll tell you what, if you can figure out who else I'm threatening, I'll give you an extra 'hundred words."

Making a deal with the devil. Classic.

"Sure, I've got nothing to loose." The figure nodded. "Oh and one more thing," the figure dropped a piece of paper on Chloe's bed. "Bye!" And with that, the figure jumped out of Chloe's window and jumped into her mango tree to jump down.

Chloe shakily picked the piece of paper up. She braced herself for she really didn't want to die.

589 words, then you're gone. Don't kill anymore people, sneaky Chloe;)

Chloe needed to find who else was being threatened. She needed those one hundred words.
