After the crown got handed to Taylor, Maddie, Chloe and Kalani raced out of the hall. Panting for breath, the trio took a second to make a plan. "Alright, what do you think they could've done?" Kalani asked. "Did anyone see them walk outside or see Josh do anything suspicious?"
Maddie thought for a moment, and went back to her first encounter with Josh at the dance. He had seemed a bit protective towards her, plus he- "He glared at us!" Maddie exclaimed. Chloe and Kalani looked at her with suprise. "That's awesome! But you need to be a bit quieter." Chloe whispered.
"Right, so we know that he obviously didn't want us with her and that we were stealing her away. But why would he be so upset about us talking to her?" Chloe questioned. Kalani and Maddie thong for a moment, and then they drew the only conclusion they could.
"Unless, he's on the Word Squad!" Kalani and Maddie exclaimed with eyes wide. "Shh!" Chloe whispered. "But I think your point is right, he's been glaring at us and he was the last person to be with her," Chloe concluded.
"Well, is there any footprints, uh, blood maybe?" Maddie said. The only thing she knew about mystery was Scooby Doo, which she hadn't seen since she was five. The others nodded, looking around.
Maddie retraced to the hall doors and walked forward slowly, looking at the ground. She kept going until she saw something; a phone. "Guys! I found something!" She yelled, then gave Chloe an apologetic smile.
Rolling her eyes, Chloe jogged over followed by Kalani. Maddie picked the phone up and looked at the screensaver. "It's a picture of four people in all black," Kalani said confused.
Chloe's eyes widened as she took the phone, turning it on again. "It has a password so we're basically left with this," she motioned to the screensaver. Kalani took out her own phone and quickly snapped a picture of the screensaver. "We've gotta go!" She said taking off.
"To where?" Chloe asked. Kalani shrugged her shoulders helplessly. They were screwed.

"Alright, team meeting. We've got one, who do we focus on now?" Josh said looking at the team leader. "They've all got around the same word count, we could rig someone's?" Another person suggested. The team leader nodded and they pulled out a slip of paper.
"Well, Kalani and Maddie's word count are neck and neck and Chloe's is higher because of the deal we made with her," they explained. "Right, so we have to put the word count somewhere were they'll find it. And we have to give them clues to finding Kendall's body because, well, I just want to see the look on their faces!"
Everyone started laughing until someone spoke up. "I just don't want to hurt them, so, is there anyway I can resign?" They spoke so quietly that everyone had to make sure they actually said it.
"Once you're in the word squad," the leader said. "There's no backing out!"

"This is going nowhere!" Maddie sighed in frustration as she strolled at the back of the group. Kalani had taken charge and Chloe had lingered behind, making a line. "Maddie, have you seen anything yet?" Kalani asked.
Kalani had told her to look for any bits of blood or hair or something so that they knew they were going the right way. "Nope!" She said popping the p. "Well, you need to keep looking!" Kalani said.
Rolling her eyes, Maddie picked up her pace a little bit and stared kicking what felt like a rock. "Maddie! Can you stop that racket?" Chloe said frustrated as she hated irrational noises. Maddie bent down to pick up the rock for later when she realised it felt like water on the rock.
She screamed and the others turned around and came rushing to her side. "What is it Maddie?" Kalani said frantically. Maddie pointed to the rock and then her fingers. "Chloe grab out your phone!" Maddie whisper-yelled. Chloe did as she was told and turned it on.
The bright light was pointed at the rock which had a red tint to it. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that it was blood. "Do you think...?" Chloe left the question hang in the air for a minute when Kalani gathered herself up and continued to walk.
"Oi! Where are you going?" Maddie yelled. "To find Kendall! We're on the right track which means we're getting close!" Chloe and Maddie quickly started to follow.
They were going to find Kendall, weather they liked it or not.

About twelve thousand arguments and five meltdowns later, they arrived at a little shed that still had a light on. Maddie felt sick to the stomach, and had horrible scenarios running through her head. ( SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHO HAVENT WATCHED SEASON FIVE OF PLL) She imagined the shed to be covered in blood, like it was when Mona was murdered.
Shivering at the gruesome memory and in fear, the trio slowly approached the shed. Kalani turned and looked at the group. "In three, two, one!" Kalani went to open the door but was beaten by Chloe who kicked it open. "Sorry," she shrugged. "Reflex."
Maddie put her head through the door first, not seeing the sight she thought of. The shed was clean and only one light was turned on. There was a chair in the middle of the shed and a body was shrugged to the side, hanging off the chair.
She heard footsteps and felt Kalani and Chloe next to her. "I think it's..." Chloe whispered. The Chloe and Kalani slowly walked forward and Maddie casually walked forward. "Hurry up! Get it over with!" Maddie rolled her eyes, reaching Kendall's body.
Blood was pooling out from her chest and her face was frozen in pain and fear. Her beautiful pink dress had turned into a bloody mess that could rival Carrie's. "Maybe you guys should stay back..." She spoke too soon as Chloe gasped over her shoulder and Kalani tried to look for clues.
"Or not!" Maddie muttered. Kalani found a note and shook the blood off of it. She unwrapped the note slowly and her eyes grew. "Oh give it here!" Maddie yelled, grabbing the note. She read out:
Maddie: 342 words, then you're gone.
Kalani: 376 words, then you're gone.
Chloe: 456 words, then you're gone.
I suggest you all put the pieces together or you really are gone!
Chloe and Kalani looked at Maddie. The thought slipped her mind about how Chloe had so many words then Kalani and Maddie as she spoke more then them. But the only thing they cared about was calling the cops and telling them that the found the body.
