"WHAT?! SHE'S YOUR EX?! THE ONE THAT YOU WERE CRYING FOR WHEN WE FIRST MET YOU?!" Here they go. My friends. Puey and Jane are shocked knowing that Kim was my ex-girlfriend. They knew about her but I never shown them a picture of Kim. Fah was also a bit shocked. Of course, they talk about it like every day before. They helped me get over her a bit, but now here they are. It seems like they can't handle that fact.
"What a small world. There are many Kim's around the world and destiny makes it possible for her to work here and see you again." Puey said, he's still holding his temples.
"I'm so sorry Pie. I was actually trying to flirt with her yesterday." Jane said with a low voice.
"WHAT?! You're fast Jane! I thought you were only keeping her company. I didn't notice you were flirting." Fah glared at Jane for a while.
"Hey, she didn't flirt back. Still, my apologies Pie." Jane said in sincerity. Hey she didn't know that we were a couple. And Kim will not totally flirt back. She was never like that.
"It's okay Jane. You didn't know and we were a couple a long time ago, you didn't know that she was the same Kim. Apology accepted." I smiled; hey that was a sincere smile. It's true; it was really nothing with me.
"Yeah it's okay Jane. Pie just looked like she was ready to murder you anytime yesterday, so that's totally fine with her right Pie?" Fern then joined the conversation out of nowhere. Ugh this girl! She didn't have to say that to Jane. I glanced at Jane and saw how blood escaped her body; she might have been taken aback with Fern's statement.
"Don't listen to her Jane. Fern's just joking. Its fine, we're not together so it doesn't matter." I assured my friend. I had to; she was looking like a poor baby. Do I look like I can really murder? Gosh! I guess I have to lighten up a bit. How did we end up with this conversation anyway? What were we doing earlier?
Oh yes, I remember. We were discussing about the new project. When Kim and Van went out and talked to us too. Kim actually talked to me too. It was like our old times before. She seems so fine with me right now; does that mean that she's fine seeing me every day? Well isn't that a good thing? At least it's not a bit awkward for her, but it is a bit for me, just a bit. Did she checked on me? Oh stop it. We're work mates now, of course she'll be seeing me every day, as if she has an option on not to see me. But I will definitely love seeing her every day. Yikes! I will see her 5 days a week!
It's been a week already since Kim and Shone joined the team, but the shock and the overwhelming feeling is still stuck on me since day one of their arrival. I still can't sort it. Kim, the one that I wasn't able to see for more than 2 years is just around the corner. Breathing the same air that I am breathing and seeing the same things that are surrounding me. Calm down Pie. I'm being dramatic again. How can I not be. I just really missed her and up to now, I'm still dying to know on how she has been. I literally have no news about her ever since that stupid day. Maybe I can catch up with her anytime soon. But I think it's better to go on and start working again. I'm beginning to be talkative lately.

"Hi Pie."
"Oh, hello Shone. How have you been?" I thought it was Kim. That was a close one. I scanned the area and it was only the two of us in the pantry.
"I'm fine. I really missed you. I was shock to know that you work here. I swear we didn't have any idea. Even Kim was startled to see you here." Shone gave me a sincere smile. We too are friends. Of course, he's best friends with Kim ever since we met.
"I missed you too. I was really shock in seeing you too. Actually, I didn't have any news about the two of you. I was surprised that you are here." I said, looking at the scene outside of the window. I don't want Shone to see my face. I feel a small tinge of pain in my heart, knowing that we were friends but he didn't told me about Kim when I asked him before.
As if he can read what was going in my head, he took hold of my hand and I saw the sad look on his face.
"I'm sorry for what happened Pie. I'm sorry if you felt that I kept Kim away from you before. But it was for the both of you. I needed to help her. She asked me to not tell everyone where we have gone too." There was sincerity in his voice, looking down.
"It's okay Shone. That was in the past. Maybe we can all start fresh. But can I ask you something?" I waited for him to respond. He nodded. Okay here's my chance.
"Tell me, where did the two of you go? When did you came back and how was Kim before, how is she now?" All these questions blurted out of my mouth. I really needed to know. I wanted to know. I saw Shone's eyes darted around the area. He seems to be collecting his thoughts in the moment. I just needed to stay silent until he answers.
"Well, after what happened that night when you 'dumped' her, Kim asked me to take her far away from this place, away from you. So after a week, I brought us tickets to go abroad, we stayed in America for 2 years. Kim and I had a career there. We were good, she was doing well too."
"But why did you come back here? Don't get me wrong. It's not that I don't want the two of you here but if Kim was doing well there why you did came back?"
"Kim's dad contacted her and asked her to come back to fix something in their place. It was hard to convince Kim going back here Pie. I don't know if it has to do something with you, but one of the reasons she can't comeback was because of her career there. She was very good in our field of engineering."
"How was she convinced to go back?"
"Well, that's why we work here now. You see, this company is a sister company of the one that we have back in America. Kim agreed to go back because we were told that we'll be working here, to check on this place and supervise some projects. So we can stay here for good or return there. We haven't decided yet. But I missed this place! Home sweet home!"
I still have one unanswered question. All my courage and guts are now saved. One more question. Here goes. Deep breath, inhale and exhale.
"How is she now? You think, she's good with me being here? Is she glad to see me? What did she told you when she saw me?" That was the last straw. I saw him took a deep breath. Looked at the floor and back to meeting my eyes again.
"One thing is for sure, she is doing fine, but for the other questions, and I think it's best if you ask her that. It's also a good chance for the two of you to talk. But I can say that she is glad to see you, definitely glad and happy to see you. Right, Kim?"
Shone waved at the person at my back and walked towards her. Please tell me that it's not Kim. Please tell me. I can't move my body to face her. Did she hear my conversation with Shone? What if she heard it? Oh my. Again, please building floors, can you eat me alive now? I am a willing sacrifice now. This will be so embarrassing. But it's too late. Before I can even move my body, I saw Kim in front of me already. All my blood seemed to have escaped my body. Where is fairy god mother when you need her? I was there again, looking at her face. Shivers travelled down to my spine. I internally face palmed myself. Good job Pie, now Kim will think that you're a total fool.
"Hi Pie."
