Oh Brother!

A New Beginning

     I slowly open my eyes to the lights, just above my face. Everything was white, and you could hear beeping all through the building.
"She's awake guys" Edd says looking at the guys.
"Hey Margrett" Tom says worriedly.
"Hi guys" I say sleepily. I look over at Tord and Matt. Tord had something small in his hand and he was playing around with it, leaning back in his chair.
"What you got there Tord" I ask, still lying in the hospital bed.
"An AK-47 bullet" he says standing up, walking towards me to show me this bullet he randomly had.
"What for"? I ask trying to sit up. Everyone looked down at the floor.
"Margrett, do you remember anything from last night"? Edd asks looking up at me.
"I was...I think getting groceries and got in a car accident, then I tried to get home" I say starting to remember.
"Do you remember getting shot" Tord asks raising his shoulders, getting tense.
"I-guess I don't know" I slowly say.
"Well this bullet, was taken out of your body" Tord says showing me this bullet. My eyes widen in shock.
"And you passed out due to blood loss" Tom says taking my hand.
"Well where was I even shot" I ask examining my arms.
"Your right hip" Edd says pointing to my hip.
"Oh god" I quietly say to myself. I rip the IV out of my arm and try to get up.
"What-Margrett no lay back down" Edd semi shouts. I stand up and start walking like a zombie to the exit.
"I'm going home" I shout angrily. Tom comes and grabs my shoulders.
"Margrett...you've been through a lot, and I haven't been much of a help but..." He starts to tear up.
"Tom it's okay, it's not your fault" I explain running my fingers through his hair. He holds one of my hands and kneels down on one knee.
"Would you make me the happiest man alive, and marry me"? He asks taking out the engagement ring. I tear up and quickly hug him as tight as I could.
"Of course I'll marry you Tom"! I squeal. I give a quick look at the other guys. Edd is smiling and Matt is tearing up, and Tord didn't look too happy.
