Chapter 51

The next day Aria Montgomery and Ezra Fitz woke up in their king size bed, bodies pressed onto each other, limbs entangled, and fingers intertwined.

Life was perfect.

Aria opened her big, hazel eyes, only to get lost in the bright blue ocean that was staring back at her. A smile crept on her face as Ezra curled the ends of her hair with his finger and placed a long kiss against her forehead. She placed her free hand on the small of his back and pressed his body even tighter against her, his lips stil against her forehead and the corners of her lips curled up like she was a star shining on christmas eve. Ezra pulled back and rested his forehead against hers and they laid in their bed for a while like that.

"goodmorning, beautiful" Ezra mumbled against Aria's lips and brushed lost pieces of hair out of her face

"Morning" Aria said in het groggy morning voice and streched her arms "Soo.. What are we gonna do today?" Aria asked Ezra

"Mm, I could think of some things" He smirked and placed his hands on top of her belly, thinking about the small human that was growing inside, Aria still oblivious to the fact that Ezra knew. Suddenly, Aria's stomach growled which caused both Aria and Ezra to crack up.

"I think we have to make food first" Aria chuckled

"I'm gonna make your food first, and you are gonna stay in bed young lady" Ezra said as he threw himself out of bed and walked towards the kitchen. He opened the fridge only to find out there was no food left.

"Aria, honey?!" Ezra yelled and a few seconds later he heard a small voice calling back from their bedroom. "You ate all the food!"

"No I did not! We just came back from Amsterdam, remember?" Aria laughed

"I know hun, I'm gonna get us some takeout, be right back!" Ezra said, threw on some decent clothes and grabbed his car keys. Just when he was about to leave the house he heard footsteps running towards him and that was soon comfirmed by the two small arms that wrapped around his body.

"Hey" Ezra chuckled and soon his lips were being attacked by Aria's. "Woah, take it easy cowboy" Ezra laughed when Aria pulled away and grabbed his hand.

"I just love you" Aria smiled

"I love you too"

"No, I mean I love you" Aria wishpered as she nuzzled her head in his chest

"I know Ar, I love you too"

"Just remember that while you're gone"

"I will, I'll be right back honey" Ezra smiled and stepped in his car. Aria blew him one last kiss before he drove away, on his way to the brew. He hummed to a song that was playing on the radio and before Ezra knew it he arrived at the brew. He walked in and the bell above the door made it's familiar sound.

"Hey, Ezra man, how are you?" Chuck, the owner of the Brew, said as he saw Ezra walking in.

"Hey, Cuck!" Ezra smiled and gave him a hand "Life couldn't be better, how are you?"

"I'm great! You and Aria still going strong?"

"Couldn't be better, just got back from Amsterdam with her"

"Oh, lucky bird" Chuck smirked

"Yeah man, She's pregnant" Ezra said a little bit calmer and chucks eyes widened"

"Whoa man! Congrats!" He yelled and pulled Ezra into a quick hug. "Breakfast is on me today!"

"You do-"

"Yeah I do! And you're getting pie, I know you both love it"

"You're too good" Ezra chuckled. A while later he recieved his breakfast and made his way back to the car. As he drove back home he hummed to happiness by the Fray. Soon, he reached the house, jumped out of the car, walked through the door and threw his car keys on the table.

"Aria, honey, I'm home!" Ezra yelled and ran upstairs with the bags that contained their breakfast in his hands. He walked into their bedroom and was surprised when he didn't see Aria anywhere near. "Aria?" He yelled and walked to the bathroom. She was probably just done showering. He opened the door, and there she was. Aria.

Complete horror

Aria was laying on the ground.

Confusion

She had a little folded note in one hand.

Shock

There were pills in her other hand.

Disbelief

The scars on her wrists were cut open.

No control

Her eyelids were shut

Death

She wasn't breathing.

"A- Ar" Ezra yelled and dropped the bags to the floor. "No!! No! No please!" Ezra yelled and knelt down next to the lifeless body.

From that moment on everything went in slow motion.

He called 911. He wrapped his shirt around her bleeding wrists. This was a déjà vu he hoped he never had to face again.

"Aria please" Ezra sobbed and pulled her lifeless body in his arms. "What did I do wrong?" He sobbed as he gently brushed her thick hair with his fingers. Soon he heard sirens. It was exactly like in the movies. He grabbed the little note that was resting in her handpalm and folded it open.

Dear Ezra,

I warned you. I warned you five years ago. I told you this would happen, and here we are. I'm dead. You're lost. I know you found out about my pregnancy, and I know you'll hate me for taking the baby's life with mine, but let's face the facts Ezra: you don't want to have another me running around in the house. You don't want that much trouble in your life and how much you are going to deny this at first we both know this is the truth.

I feel honoured you chose me to be Mrs. Fitz one day, and I hope you find a better wife soon. Don't mourn over me Ezra, this is what I wanted in the end and I'm free now. You can live your life again and I won't be another burden. You saved me in more than one way but this is the end of my story. Chapter closed, baby's gone, sequel excluded.

Ezra took the note and ripped it into pieces. He couldn't read it ever again. Ezra cried in Aria's hair and pressed one last kiss on her forehead before he got pulled away by one of the doctors that had just arrived. They put Aria's body on a stretcher and carried her away, some of the staff trying to talk to Ezra but he couldn't tore his eyes of her body. They tried to safe her but with his eyes fixated on Aria's body,
