"God, I love you" Aria spoke. I don't think she even realized what she just said, she just blurted it out. A unnoticed coincidence, or a fortunate accident. I looked at her, and I think now the penny dropped. Aria looked at me with wide eyes and a dropped jaw, while she let a loud gasp.
"Say that again" I smirked and pulled her even closer against my body. Aria's eyes widened though, and she tried to wiggle herself out of my grib, but I didn't let her. "Come on, I heard you, I just like to hear you saying it" I smirked and looked Aria in her eyes. They were big, and I saw Aria hesitating for a second of three what she should say.
"I- I love you" she spoke and suddenly had a huge smile on her face. "Ezra, I love you, I freaking love you!" Aria said. Before she could even say more I cupped her cheek and gently pressed my lips against hers. To kiss her again was the best feeling ever, no words could describe it. After a few seconds of that magical feeling, she pulled back. Our kiss was short, but full of love.
"I love you too" I wishpered when our foreheads rested against each other. I could feel Aria's sweet breath against my lips and her nose slightly touching mine. "I love you so much"

Currently, we were laying on my couch, watching Aria's favourite movie, named If I stay. Aria had snuggled her head on my shoulder and I had my hand wrapped around her fragile waist. While Aria was focused at the movie, I was only focused at her. Her tiny little nose, and her beautiful face features, she was just so, so beautiful.
"Ezra, you're staring again" Aria mumbled
"I'm sorry, I just can't believe you're mine" I said and pressed a kiss on top
of Aria's head.
"Well, get used to it, I'm not planning on leaving you" she smiled. I really have no idea how this girl can do this. She can switch like a maniac, her mood can change from depressed to happy in the blink of an eye, just like nothing had happened. Although I'm very happy she's laughing again, and she's having fun again, I really don't know if that's a good thing. She's probably building her walls up again and burrying all her burdens and trying to forget them, which is never gonna happen. "Ezra?" Aria snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Yes, my dear?"
"You have to know, I have loved you all this time, I just didn't realize it"
"I know you did" I smiled and opened my mouth to say more but Aria interrupted me.
"Or maybe I did realize it, but I was too afraid to say it out loud" Aria admitted
"What? Why?"
"I was afraid you wouldn't say it back"
"But Aria, you know I will, you know I love you, I've told you so many times before!"
"I know, I know, It may sound stupid to you, but I was afraid okay? Noel never said things like that to me and you are like, complete new territory to me so I just don't know how to respond to such sweet things you say and do" Aria mumbled and lifted her head from my shoulder. She wanted to stand up from the couch but before she could I grabbed her hand and pulled her against my body.
"Hey, I understand okay? You don't have to be scared, I will always love you" I said and untangled her -now thin- hair with my fingers.
"I understand. I drew my smiley by the way" she said and looked at me with a twinkle in her eyes.
"Show me" I said as she rolled up her sleeve. She showed me the drawing and I was surprised when I saw what she made. It wasn't a happy smiley, nor a sad smiley. It was a little heart.
"I love you Ezra" she smiled and focussed on the movie again. I just couldn't stop smiling at the feeling of her body in my arms, or how the little tear managed to slip out of her eye near the ending of the movie, just all the little things she does, or has.
"I love you too" I wishpered. Aria and I laid on the couch and after a while the movie was finished. "Come on, let's go to bed" I sighed, streched my arms and stood up. Aria and I walked to my bedroom, changed into our pyjama's, snuggled in bed next to each other and tried to sleep. I didn't succeed at first though, Aria was tossing and turning in the bed what kept me awake. I know it wasn't her intention at all, but she did, and she couldn't sleep either. "Hey, are you awake?" I asked. Aria turned towards me, pressed a kiss on my cheek and turned around again. After a long time I finally managed to fall into a restless slumber.
I woke up a few hours later, with an empty spot next to me. The cold sheets were draped over only my body, Aria was gone. I looked at the digits of my clock and saw it was in the middle of the night. 4 AM.
"Aria?" I asked in a groggy voice. I did hear some vague noise, but it wasn't Aria's sweet voice. I got up from my bed and walked to the living room where I saw Aria sitting on the couch in the living room. It was pitch black, the only light was coming from the tv. She was watching a concert, the sound of sad music was filling the room, and in the reflection of the light I could see a tear rolling down Aria's cheek. "Aria, hey! What's wrong?" I asked as I rushed towards her and took her in my arms.
"I just want to feel okay again" She whimpered and wrapped her arms around her knees.
"Hey! Hey, Aria, you're gonna be okay. I promise." I said and brushed her hair.
"Why can't I be a normal teenager, I don't want this anymore" she said as she kept staring at the tv where the sad sound of a violin was filling the room.
"Aria, it's late and you're overthinking again, please just come with me, go to sleep"
"Okay" she muttered. I scooped my arms around her body and carried her to the bed where I fell asleep again.

The next day I woke up, and yet again, there was a cold spot next to me. This time I didn't hear a sound, nor Aria's voice. "Aria?" I asked, but I didn't got a respond. I stood up from the bed, and made my way to the living room where a cold breeze hit my body.
"Aria?"
